"No, I can't get up at half six. I believe you don't want me to doze off at work. For my work efficiency, you'd better run alone tomorrow morning."
Susan sneered with her hands on her chest and said, "Are you talking about flirting with female colleagues and fighting with the son of stakeholders?
"Uh... there must be some misunderstandings here. All I do is to keep a good relationship with coworkers, in a bid to improve my work efficiency. You should have praised me for invigorating employees to work. Indeed, it'd be perfect if you're gonna raise my salary.
At this point, Philip Lin suddenly realized that seemingly, his salary for the next year would be deducted bu Susan Mu. Thinking of this, he quickly changed his words and said, "Actually, a raise is not in need. What about more bonuses at the end of this year? As for Miller Han, the reason why I beat him was you".
Hearing that, Susan appeared to be increasingly angry.
"Are you sure? Improve your work efficiency? Invigorate colleagues?"
These two had nothing to do with him. There's no way to have a good word about him. After all, he said something inappropriate to female workers on day one at work.
How shameless he was! Susan felt that she could not tolerate this guy anymore.
"Really? For me? Would you please give me some explanation for that?"
Staring at Philip coldly, Susan decided to get him back this time if Philip could not explain adequately.
"Honey, think about that, Miller has the nerve to break into the office of the head of the General Affairs Department in broad daylight. In addition to his behavior's negative influence, what if he has some terrible thoughts about Vivian Ling? After all, I know that Vivian is your good helper. For Vivian and certainly to keep you from too much pressure, I have to beat that ass."
Philip claimed frankly, "Of course, later I'm aware that it is my fault to beat someone in the company, even though I did that for my dear wife. But to maintain prestige in the workplace, I'm fine if you choose to punish me severely. I'm serious."
Instead of being moved by his affectionate words, Susan felt disgusted at Philip's shamelessness.
Indeed, to a certain extent, that Miller broke into the General Affairs Department at work had impacted the work there. What's worse was that he pushed Rain Qin, who served as Vivian's secretary.
That's why Susan didn't want to blame Philip. But it was not saying that there's nothing wrong with him. And it's also not because of their relationship.
Although they were married, both of them had no love at all.
Susan realized that she could not treat Philip as a normal person. He had the trick to make everything from his mouth sound different.
Susan was aware of Miller's thoughts on Vivian. But she always believed that Miller dared not to start his move in the company.
Not all men were like Philip. Although Vivian was not as cold as Susan, she was also hard to hit on.
You should know that the head of the General Affairs Department of Muce Group's office was not a sofa at home. One could not do anything he wanted at work.
For Vivian? If Miller heard Philip's remarks, the latter would reply with "Son of a bitch!".
...
"Susan, Sean Han came to the company early in the morning. Originally I planned to let him stay in the reception room, but he insisted on waiting for you in the office. I don't know how to deal with that."
Seeing Susan stepping out of the elevator, Sage quickly stepped forward and said. It's nearly nine o'clock in the morning. She stayed here on the 26th elevator floor of the Moon Edifice for a very long time.
"Did he say anything?"
Wearing a white professional attire, Susan walked to her office calmly and confidently.
There were several directors on the board of Muce Group, while only one surnamed Han. That was Sean, father of Miller, who was passed out after being beaten by Philip in the General Affairs Department.
Sean came here on such short notice. It's not hard to see that he expected to send a punitive expedition.
"His only words are about waiting for you in the office, nothing else."
Sage didn't add, "I think his presence here is mainly for explaining Miller's affairs." After all, Sage had been the secretary of Susan for a long time, so she knew that Susan was smart enough to predict the situation. Sage understood what she shouldn't say.
Susan kept silent, putting wrinkles in her slender eyebrows.
Honestly, at home, she had already predicted that Sean would come to her, but it never happened to her that he would be here this quickly.
Susan turned very angry when recalling Philip's annoying attitude when they discussed Miller at home.
"Indeed, Miller did something wrong, but in the final analysis, he's the son of Sean. And Sean represents a shareholder of the company anyway. You punched Miller; that is to make Sean lose his face. I mean, you need to find a time to apologize. And then this stuff is over."
As far as Susan was concerned, this solution was good enough for Philip. After all, he did beat someone before many workers. If it was not Philip, Susan would dismiss the one beating others without hesitation or even calling the police.
However, Philip directly refused her solution and even yelled at her.
"Apologize to Miller? Are you listening to yourself?" Susan got into a muddle when she heard his words. But his later remarks made Susan froze in astonishment.
"I already gave Sean a face or some parts of his son would be broken. Why don't you make Miller apologize to Rain? Don't you take Rain Qin's dignity into account? Yeah, she is just a secretary, but at least a member of Muce Group. As Muce's president, you can not ignore her dignity but only pay attention to Miller, just because of his father. Think about that."
After this lousy conversation, Philip went out of the villa, barely looking at Susan.
"Damn it!"
After Philip left, Susan stood alone in the living room for more than twenty minutes until Auntie Gail reminded her.
She felt angry but wronged. But Philip had already left. Instead of letting her anger out, she could only hold her fury and grievances inside.
Susan had no mood to have breakfast. So she drove her car directly toward the company.
