I finished my water and my bar, dropping the wrapper on the counter. I stared down at my lap, but jumped when Jay slammed his empty cup in front of me. "Clean up the kitchen," he told me. And I realized, looking around, that he had left everything out; wrappers, knives, spoons, every ingredient he had used, the blender, my cup, his cup, everything. I swallowed, hard, unhappily. Like hell if I was going to clean up after this man. I scowled at him and he leaned his face closer to me, sensing resistance....
