When we made it back to the manor, I was still heated. Heated about the fact that I let myself look vulnerable in front of William when that is the exact opposite of what I was supposed to do, and heated that I broke my heel. The landscapers were staring at me as I limped to the front door. Half way there, I gave up and just took both of my heels off and carried them.
