Chapter 1 Did Romeo and Juliet Fuck?

“Earth to Taylor.” I hear my friend try to speak with me, her hand waving up and down in front of my face. I am suddenly brought back to reality. “Wha-? Oh, uh, sorry.” I murmured, shy, that I kept spacing out since Abi had arrived. “Girl, I asked if you wanted the gold or red dress?” She moves two dresses in front of me - the gold one I wore to my first night out with Daniel and he told me how much he loved the way it formed on my body and showed all my curves, and the red one I wore to a Christmas party together where Daniel made sure to not let anyone see my cleavage too much. “Tay!” Abi snapped her fingers in front of me. “Omg Abi, I’m so sorry. Um, whichever is fine.” I replied to my friend who was still patient with me even though I spaced out every second. “Don’t worry about it”, Abi said with a smile. “You know what, I know exactly which dress you should wear that’s going to make you THE hottest in the club tonight.” Abi pulled out the shortest and most fitted-looking white dress I ever saw, and I knew I couldn’t say no to my friend after all she’s done for me. - It’s around eleven at night now, Abi has finished getting ready. For someone who only had short blonde hair, she didn’t really need to do much with it but curl the tips. It also helped that her light blue eyes just needed a touch of mascara to make them pop. And with a little tint on the cheek, and lip gloss, she was ready in less than twenty minutes. I on the other hand had long brunette hair so curling it took awhile, but with the help of my friend, it didn’t take too long either. “Oh my god, you look AMAZING. I might just have to say this is my best work yet.” Abi looked at me in total disbelief at how the dress fit perfectly as if it was literally made for me. The way the white dress just hugged every curve and the bustier made my chest look too seductive for my own good. Add mascara on my long lashes, rosy cheek tint, and red lips, I kind of felt like I looked as if I was straight out of a pin up magazine. And with that, me and my best friend were ready to do some partying. - “They said this was like the absolute best club in the city. ALL of the hot guys went here. I’m honestly already wet just thinking about it.” Abi naughtily commented while we waited in line to the club. Somehow I felt uneasy but deep inside, I also wanted to have fun and just forget about my douchebag ex boyfriend. “Hello ladies, name?” A really big guy in black stopped us by the entrance. You could smell the Axe as soon as you stepped near him. At this point Abi was already making babies with him using her eyes. I mean, who could blame her? This guy was 6 foot and looked like he just came straight out of the gym with all his pecks and muscles, I almost think his shirt was going to rip off any second. “Taylor and Abi, who’s single btw.” My friend blatantly flirting with the bouncer as she winked at him and bit her lip. Abi always knew her way around boys. Rarely did she ever not get her way around them. “Well I don’t see your names here, but I’m willing to give you lovely girls a pass.” He winked right back at her. Did I say rarely? I mean she literally always got her way around them. We were ushered into the club and immediately bright lights and loud music greeted us. The bouncer, Mike or Jake or something, might really have fallen for Abi because he gave us a special place next to the pool area. And yes, this club had a pool. A very big one with a lot of topless men and... women? “Oh those girls are totally drunk.” Abi pointed to the group of friends by the pool that were practically half naked. I guess this club was quite lenient. Suddenly a male server approached us and gave us 2 whole bottle of expensive alcohol. “From the gentlemen by the VIP area.” He pointed at the top where there was a huge couch with women dancing around men in suits, clearly very drunk. “They said come by and dance anytime.” The male server then excused himself and left. Abi looked at me with a smirk. “No waaaay”, I replied to her. “Even if I was 10 bottles drunk, I would never lap dance those guys.” I laughed and opened the 2 bottles. “Can I get a free lap dance though?” Abi teased and we both laughed. Even after 8 years, our friendship still felt as fun as day one. One whole bottle later, Abi was already dancing with her 7th guy in the dance floor. I was just having fun vibing to the music and getting lost in the dance floor when I saw the bouncer walking up to where we were. I guess that’s my cue, I thought to myself. “Hey your new boy toy is on the way. I’m going to the comfort room. Have fun and call me if you need me, ok?” I gave Abi a small peck on the cheek and started walking away from the dance floor when I bumped into someone. “Oh shit.” I hit his drink and it spilled all over my dress and his top. “I’m so sorry.” I panic and start wiping my hand all over his shirt, not even realizing I was probably just scattering the drink all over even more. Okay this alcohol was definitely hitting. Suddenly these very soft and big hands touch mine. “It’s okay, I th- i- j- ge- wet-.” I could barely hear anything with this music. “WHAT?” I raise my voice and look up at him. And holy damn. I have never laid eyes on such a fine man. The club lights probably wasn’t helping me see what he really looked like, but regardless, his silhouette was making my heart flutter. Or was this just beer goggles talking? I don’t know. He held on to my hand tighter and dragged me to the bathroom area where the music was less loud and there were normal lights. Well, hot damn. The first thing I saw was how his chestnut-colored hair curled at the front of his forehead, but the back just flowed wavy up to his neck. And then the way his hazel eyes just glistened like I could see myself if I looked closer. And don’t even get me started on the jaw - a million papers could have been cut in a single second. But his lips were the one that almost dropped me on my knees, they looked so soft and lush like kissing them would be like kissing clouds but they would taste like cotton candy. “I said you don’t have to wipe it off, it was just getting wetter.” I got snapped back to reality when I heard the sexiest deep voice talk to me. Something else is definitely getting wetter alright. Wait, what? “Oh, uh - yeah. Sorry!” I gave him a panicked look and a shy smile. The alcohol was definitely hitting me. “No worries. Are you good?” He asked, his voice melting in my ears like my favorite song I could listen to over and over. I had completely forgotten that I also spilled the drink on my dress and the more it seeped in, the more it got see through. “I think we should take care of that.” He added, before I could speak up. He pulled me closer to him as other people walked by and I could have sworn I felt my arm hitting a rock when I touched his stomach. I need to get a hold of myself. We got to the bathroom and noticed that the only open one was the shared one. He looked at me as if asking if it was okay, and I just went straight into the bathroom, because the drink was getting quite cold on my body. I shiver a bit and he immediately noticed. “You should hurry and dry up so you don’t catch a cold. I’ll wait outside.” He gave me a reassuring smile, and I almost melted on the floor. Almost. My knees just kinda gave up instead and I thought, well this is going to hurt. But it didn’t. Because in .5 seconds, this guy was already holding me in his arms. “Too much alcohol, huh?” He snickered. Oh my god, is this the alcohol or do I just wanna kiss this guy so fucking bad? “Can I kiss you?” I blurted out. Not even knowing what I had just said, only a few seconds after I did say it that I realized. But before I could speak up again, I felt clouds on my lips. We started kissing intensely, my hands caressing his hair, and his all over my body. It was so soft and warm, I could feel myself getting wetter by the second. He pulls away from the kiss, a sudden longing felt inside me. “Do you wanna go somewhere else?” He asked as he looked straight into my eyes. I said my apartment was nearby, and with no second thoughts, sent Abi a text message as I saw a glance of her with the bouncer, we started walking out of the club.
