Lulu pulled me out of the cafe when I began demanding to speak to the owner for answers, and the barista couldn't be of help. "How's that possible?" I kept asking her while she drove us back to the house. "He said he'd been working there for the last five years and hasn't encountered the old woman even when he took the late shift.
