One hour had passed, and the ten people who had endured the Droplet Flurry stepped forward once more.
"The second round is a one-on-one knockout battle," Perry announced loudly. "You ten will draw lots to determine the match order."
Just as he finished speaking, a defiant voice cut through the air. Jackson stepped forward, saying, "No need for such formalities."
"What is Jackson planning?" Everyone on the training ground, including the nine who had advanced to the second round, turned to look at him.
"Mr. Perry, the purpose of this family competition is simply to select the strongest among the younger generation of the Su family to wield the Sword Token. The ranking of others is insignificant," Jackson continued. "Given this, there's no need for the second round to be so complicated."
"What exactly are you suggesting?" Perry asked, his voice cold.
"It's straightforward. I'm determined to win the Su family Sword Token. Among the younger generation, none are qualified to be my opponent. One-on-one battles are too tedious. Those who wish to contend for the Sword Token can come at me all at once. I'll take them all on," Jackson declared, his voice echoing through the training ground.
The training ground fell silent, then erupted into an uproar.
"Jackson wants to fight everyone alone!"
"Arrogant, too arrogant!"
"Who does he think he is? Does he think our Su family geniuses are worthless?"
The core disciples of the Su family were furious, and even the high-level elders looked displeased.
Perry frowned and glanced at Henry, who nodded slightly.
Perry then announced, "Since this is your request, we will honor it. The second round will be a ring battle. You will be the ring master, and the other nine can team up to challenge you. If you win, the Sword Token will be yours."
Jackson's lips curled into a cold smile.
"Well, we don't have any hope for the Sword Token, so we're not competing with Jackson," said four of the participants, stepping back. They were in the same faction as Jackson and naturally didn't want to compete against him.
With Jackson and those who withdrew out of the equation, five people remained eligible to compete.
Four of them—Charles, Pace, and two other Su family disciples—stepped forward.
All had reached the peak of the Tenth Grade True Martial Realm and were highly regarded by the family elders.
"Jackson, you're too arrogant!" Charles shouted, his eyes blazing with fury. His body radiated powerful spiritual energy, indicating his strength at the peak of the Tenth Grade True Martial Realm.
Pace and the other two disciples also unleashed their spiritual energy, preparing for battle.
"Charles?" Jackson glanced at him and sneered. "Your cultivation is impressive, but unfortunately, you're the only one at this level. If the other Su family members were as strong as you, I might actually be challenged."
"How arrogant!" Charles roared, his gaze shifting to his allies. "Everyone, the honor of our family is at stake. As Mr. Lester instructed, even if it costs us our lives, we must defeat him!"
"One-on-one, we might not stand a chance. But together, at the Tenth Grade True Martial Realm, we should be able to handle him," Pace said grimly.
"This Jackson is too arrogant. Today, we'll make him pay," another disciple added, and they all nodded in agreement.
"Attack!" Charles ordered, and the four of them launched their assault.
Charles, wielding a long sword, charged first, unleashing a powerful slash infused with spiritual energy.
Pace moved to Jackson's side, her sword striking with precision, while the other two attacked from different directions.
Jackson, however, just smiled coldly. He stepped forward, clenching his right hand into a fist, and struck at Charles' sword with immense force.
"He hasn't drawn his sword?" the spectators murmured in shock.
Facing four opponents, Jackson hadn't even drawn his weapon. This was blatant contempt.
Bang! The sound of the clash resonated as Charles felt a powerful force shatter his attack, forcing him to retreat.
"How can this be? We're at the same level, but his strength is at least double mine!" Charles thought, stunned.
After repelling Charles, Jackson effortlessly deflected the attacks from Pace and the others.
"Don't hold back! Use your strongest techniques!" Charles shouted, charging again. He employed the Vitality Mixing Secret, a defensive sword art, to hold Jackson off while the others prepared their strongest moves.
Pace leaped high, executing the Phoenix Sword technique, a powerful and graceful move she had mastered after intense training. The other two disciples also unleashed their best techniques.
But Jackson, still weaponless, countered with ease.
"Is this the best you can do?" he taunted before finally drawing his sword.
With a swift motion, Jackson released a dazzling blade shadow. Despite their combined efforts, Charles and his allies couldn't withstand the attack. They were thrown back, bloodied and battered.
"He's this strong?" Charles and the others were in disbelief. Even with their best efforts, they were no match for Jackson.
The spectators, including the core members and elders of the Su family, were silent, shocked by the outcome.
"You're not even worth my time," Jackson sneered, sheathing his sword. "From today, the Su family Sword Token is mine. The younger generation will bow to me. Who dares to challenge me?"
His words stung the pride of the Su family, leaving them seething with anger and humiliation.
Just as despair seemed to settle in, a cold voice rang out, "The Sword Token will be yours? You are not worthy to take it!"
