With a swift step, Jackson appeared in front of Owen, his body emanating a faint trace of thunder as if he were a bolt of lightning.
His battle blade moved with him, crackling with energy.
Boom! Crack!
The blade's light descended, flickering with thunder.
"Thunderchase Techniques!"
"The most powerful blade technique in the Su family's manuals!"
"Jackson's entire body is glowing with thunder. He must have mastered this technique to its pinnacle."
The Misthaven Realm experts watching from the sidelines were visibly astonished.
Mastering the Thunderchase Techniques to such a degree placed Jackson among the top martial artists, even within the Misthaven Realm.
It explained why he had broken through the eleventh floor of the True Martial Attic.
As Jackson swung his blade, streaks of blade light, like bolts of lightning, enveloped Owen.
Owen's gaze was sharp. The incoming blade light, though fast, seemed to slow down in his perception—a unique ability he had gained after awakening his Supreme Bloodline.
This allowed him to see and exploit flaws in his opponent's techniques, even creating stronger moves from them.
Clank! Clank! Clank!
Owen's sword movements were calm, yet each stroke precisely deflected Jackson's thunderous blade attacks.
His seemingly casual defense neutralized the terrifying onslaught, forcing him to only take a few steps back.
"How is this possible?" Jackson's breath grew heavy, his face etched with disbelief.
The onlookers were equally stunned, particularly the Misthaven Realm experts. They knew the terror of the Thunderchase Techniques.
Typically, one had to counter them with equally powerful moves or evade them entirely. Yet Owen blocked all thirty-six strikes with ease.
"This feels familiar," Pace thought, recalling how Mr. Hiram had effortlessly deflected her attacks during her training.
"Is this your blade technique?" Owen asked, his tone mocking.
"You bastard!" Jackson snarled, his aura growing even more intense.
With a shout, he charged again, the thunder around him solidifying.
"Daylight Thunder!" he roared, slashing down with both hands, the move powerful enough to split mountains.
Owen remained calm, countering with a simple thrust. The tip of his sword struck the convergence point of Jackson's blade light, dispersing its power instantly.
As Owen twisted his wrist, the sword edge traced a precise path along Jackson's arm, leaving a shallow mark on his shoulder.
Though the mark was not deep, it was a clear humiliation for Jackson, who had confidently told Owen to be proud of forcing him to use his blade techniques.
Now, Jackson's strongest move had been nullified, and he had been injured.
"Owen, you've angered me!!" Jackson roared, charging again with relentless blade techniques.
But the outcome remained the same. Owen effortlessly deflected the attacks, leaving a new sword mark each time.
In moments, Jackson's body bore thirteen sword marks. Though shallow, they symbolized his defeat.
The spectators were stunned.
When Jackson announced his intention to use his blade techniques, many feared for Owen. But Owen had turned the tables, effortlessly countering Jackson's attacks.
"The gap is vast; they're not on the same level! Jackson passed the eleventh floor of the True Martial Attic, yet against Owen, he fails?"
"It's like a mockery. Owen is completely humiliating him!"
The Su family experts and disciples felt a surge of satisfaction.
For three years, as the Su family's power waned, Reg Zhao's faction had grown dominant, even trying to seize the Sword Token that symbolized the leadership of the younger generation.
But now, Owen had emerged, not only displaying immense strength but also mocking Jackson with his superior skills.
"Owen!!"
"Young Master!" the Su family disciples cheered.
On the viewing platform, the elders had varying expressions, especially Hogan from the Chilong Building.
"This kid... I knew he seemed familiar. He is indeed Hiram," Hogan muttered, recognizing Owen as the Master swordsman who had passed the fourteenth floor of the True Martial Attic.
Hogan's realization explained Owen's mastery. But he wondered why Owen was holding back, allowing Jackson to break through to the Misthaven Realm.
On the battlefield, Jackson's eyes were bloodshot, his body marked with bleeding sword cuts, making him appear desperate.
"Owen! You bastard!" Jackson roared, his aura suddenly surging, breaking through to a new level.
"This is... the Misthaven Realm!!"
The Su family experts and disciples, who had been cheering moments ago, were now shocked and dismayed.
Some shouted in disbelief, "Misthaven Realm?"
Charles, Pace, and the other Su family geniuses looked on in despair.
Owen had clearly been winning, but at this critical moment, Jackson had broken through from the Tenth Grade True Martial Realm to the Misthaven Realm—a significant leap in power.
"Owen, I could have broken through to the Misthaven Realm long ago," Jackson's voice echoed.
"I was suppressing my cultivation to Master a new, powerful technique from my father, hoping to achieve an even greater breakthrough. But because of you, I had to advance early! You deserve to die!" Jackson roared.
His explanation clarified that he had been at the half-step Misthaven Realm, and now, he was revealing his true strength.
On the viewing platform, Hogan frowned.
"That kid... He clearly had the chance to defeat Jackson earlier but chose to hold back, allowing Jackson to break through. Does he still have the confidence to deal with Jackson now?"
