The atmosphere grew tense as everyone's hearts raced. Was Drake Dragon truly plotting a rebellion? However, what shocked everyone even more was that Drake Dragon's hand remained poised in front of the seventh prince, refusing to strike.
The seventh prince, filled with fear, had shut his eyes tight, but as time passed and nothing happened, he cautiously opened them again. He beheld Drake Dragon holding a jade plaque, a faint smile on his face. His resemblance to the two individuals he had previously imitated was uncanny.
"Seventh Prince, take a closer look. This is an alchemist's identification badge. Do you really think I need to kneel before you?" Drake Dragon's voice was cold and cutting.
Terrified by Drake Dragon's recent display of murderous intent, the seventh prince had no time to scrutinize the authenticity of the badge. "No...no, there's no need," he stammered, his eyes wide with horror.
Drake Dragon's previous release of killing intent had shaken the seventh prince to his core. For someone who had always been pampered, simply managing not to soil himself from fright was already an act of great bravery.
"I thank you for your understanding, Seventh Prince," Drake Dragon replied with a slight smile. Scaring this second-generation noble was enough for him. Even with the prestige of an alchemist, he wouldn't dare lay a finger on a prince. After all, they were still in the Fengming Empire.
"Rise," Drake Dragon said as he extended a hand out to the trembling seventh prince, who had collapsed onto the ground.
The seventh prince couldn't help but feel a twinge of flattery. Looking at Drake Dragon, he hesitated for a moment before extending his own hand. He was, after all, a prince. Besides, he had only been manipulated by Ethan Zhou. If Drake Dragon truly held a grudge against him, he would have fallen right into Ethan Zhou's scheme.
Though Drake Dragon didn't truly care, he felt a slight pang of distaste at having been manipulated. Offering a way out to the seventh prince was his means of salvaging the situation. After all, the seventh prince was only fifteen years old and lacked experience. With Drake Dragon pressuring him, the prince was at a loss for words even after standing up.
"Seventh Prince, wouldn't you like to take a seat a while longer?" Drake Dragon offered a reminder.
"Oh, no, uh... I still have matters to attend to. I should return," the seventh prince hastily replied. With that, he turned and made a swift exit from the Literature Hall, his legs feeling weak as he left.
Drake Dragon instilled true fear in the heart of the seventh prince. In that moment, the prince had glimpsed the grin of Death itself, fully aware that his fate rested solely in Drake Dragon's hands.
With the seventh prince gone, Drake Dragon turned his gaze towards the group of princes who had recently participated in the assault on him. However, after witnessing Drake Dragon's deadly skills first-hand and seeing the cold stare directed their way, they quickly retreated, fear etched across their faces.
Drake Dragon had little interest in dealing with this group of individuals. Though they had once harbored intense hatred towards him, now that their positions were no longer on equal footing, that hatred had waned.
Approaching the battered figure of Ethan Zhou, who struggled to breathe, Drake Dragon's eyes appeared dim, seemingly on the brink of death.
"Drake Dragon, you mustn't kill him. Let us send him to the Alchemist Guild. Perhaps there's still hope for his recovery," Stone Peak advised, recognizing that this was not a battle arena but a private confrontation where Drake Dragon couldn't evade responsibility for taking a life.
"Don't worry. They say that good people are seldom rewarded with death, while the wicked suffer throughout the ages. Take a look, his eyebrows are as untamed as the wilderness and his brow is sunken. He has the appearance of a villain. Such individuals rarely meet an easy demise. Have you not noticed? His face remains flushed," Drake Dragon remarked with a smile.
Yves Chubby and the others were momentarily speechless. Ethan Zhou was considered a handsome man, and the state of his eyebrows and forehead had nothing to do with his appearance. It was a result of being thrown by Drake Dragon, leaving his body flattened and disfigured.
In addition to that, notice the radiant complexion? That is a result of poor blood circulation, causing it to become stagnant on the face. It may appear slightly red, but in reality, it has turned a shade of purple. However, this has no connection to having rosy cheeks.
He extended his arm, retrieving a pill from his pocket, and forcefully inserted it into Ethan Zhou's mouth.
"Father," Ethan Zhou uttered weakly.
Two forceful slaps landed on Ethan Zhou's face, ensuring that the previously unswallowable pill smoothly entered his stomach.
Despite Drake Dragon's deep hatred towards Ethan Zhou, he still maintained some sense of restraint. Although Ethan Zhou's injuries were severe, there was no intention for him to meet his demise.
Consuming the restorative medicine produced by Drake Dragon could preserve the integrity of his internal organs. As for his external wounds, well, that became the Zhou family's predicament. Drake Dragon's only concern was preventing Ethan Zhou from dying.
"If any of you want to save Ethan Zhou's life, then quickly take him away," Drake Dragon coldly instructed, pointing at the bewildered princes.
Only then did these individuals react, hurriedly and cautiously lifting Ethan Zhou and placing him onto a table before carrying him away along with the table.
By the way, Victor Wang, who was already unconscious in the corner, was also carried away.
"You, you, and you, come here and clean up the blood stains on the floor."
Drake Dragon pointed at a few princes, who had often mocked him in the past. Although Drake Dragon had no intention of attacking them, assigning them this task allowed for some venting of his anger.
The princes named by Drake Dragon couldn't help but tremble, barely daring to breathe. They quickly went about their cleaning duties with great diligence. In a short amount of time, they finished tidying up, even managing to retrieve the dozen teeth Victor Wang had lost.
To Drake Dragon's surprise, the elderly lecturer arrived after over half an hour of cleaning.
However, the old man glanced at Drake Dragon with a hint of confusion before resuming his lecture. Drake Dragon couldn't help but curse internally:
You old stick, you must have taken advantage of Ethan Zhou, otherwise, there's no way you would be over half an hour late.
Drake Dragon couldn't help but secretly despise the lecturer. He had initially believed that scholars possessed noble hearts. However, his perception was shattered today. He felt like he had been deceived. The positive impression that the old man had left on Drake Dragon during their previous encounter had completely dissipated.
The monotonous rhythm continued as they powered through until lunchtime. They then rushed to the War Skills Pavilion as a group.
Yves Chubby and the others did not accompany them, opting to return home for medication instead. Witnessing Drake Dragon's actions today left them in awe. Simultaneously, they glimpsed their own future and could hardly wait for it to arrive.
Once inside the Combat Skills Pavilion, Drake Dragon meticulously perused several volumes on combat skills. However, he felt dissatisfied with what he found. The combat skills displayed average power and were no longer impressive in Drake Dragon's eyes.
He swiftly devoured book after book, flipping through hundreds of combat skills manuals in less than an hour. His disappointment grew with each one.
No wonder it's provided to the public for free; these combat skills are all rubbish. They possess convoluted operation routes and lack potency. Only those who have reached the Blood Congealing Realm are deemed eligible to access the second floor of the Combat Skills Pavilion.
Furthermore, other combat skills held little value for Drake Dragon. His physically adept techniques already included Wind Chasing Step, while Cow Power was his combat skill. The top-tier combat skills available here were on par with what he already possessed. Even if he were to learn them, they would not make a significant difference.
Drake Dragon couldn't help but sigh inwardly, contemplating not wasting any more time. Suddenly, he felt a slight twinge in his heart and glanced toward the bottom corner of a bookshelf.
On other shelves, the combat skill books were organized neatly in a traditional manner. However, within this particular spot, there was chaos, as if a wild beast had emerged from the skies. Before Drake Dragon could react, he found himself engulfed by a whirlwind of feathers. Startled, he momentarily lost himself as he was carried up into the sky.
