Soon, a few individuals approached Ja Jiang.
Little Nora was held by her father, gazing at the beautiful lady in close proximity with a rare sense of excitement.
Ja Jiang was taken aback by the father-daughter duo's unique gaze and didn't know how to react initially.
Fortunately, the man in front spoke first, breaking the silence. "You're the doctor recommended by Dr. Gu to treat my grandfather, right?"
Ja Jiang adjusted her expression and smiled gently. "Yes, that's me. Hello, I'm Ja Jiang."
"Dr. Jiang," the man extended his hand toward her. "I'm Edison Qin, and this is my sister, Amelia Qin."
He then glanced back at Andrew Li, who was standing behind them. "And this is... our elder brother, Andrew Li."
Ja Jiang nodded calmly and exchanged greetings with each of them. "Mr. Qin, Miss Qin... Mr. Li."
As the words fell, a distinctly ambiguous chuckle echoed in the air, tinged with a hint of mockery. It seemed someone was being sarcastic.
Ja Jiang lowered her gaze, concealing any unusual emotions in her eyes.
Beside her, Amelia Qin scrutinized her for a moment, her attractive brows furrowing slightly. She expressed doubt, saying, "You claim to be the doctor who can treat my grandfather? You appear to be around our age, and I suspect you haven't been in the field for long. Are you sure you can really do this?"
Her attitude was similar to the butler's earlier.
But since she was the patient's relative, Ja Jiang didn't mind her skepticism.
She was about to explain when Edison Qin smiled apologetically. "I'm sorry, my grandfather's condition is quite severe. We've consulted numerous renowned doctors both in China and abroad, and none have been able to help. My sister is just concerned about our grandfather enduring further disappointment. After all, we've encountered many doctors who've given us hope only to let us down. With that in mind, please don't take her doubts to heart, Dr. Jiang."
Edison turned to his sister and gave her a stern look. "Dr. Jiang is here to treat our grandfather. We should show her respect and apologize."
Reluctantly, Amelia averted her gaze and muttered, "I'm sorry."
Ja Jiang hadn't taken their initial skepticism to heart, but upon hearing the apology, she smiled calmly and said, "It's alright. Considering your relationship with your grandfather, it's natural to have concerns. I completely understand.
As for my abilities, you can rest assured. While I may be young and not look like those seasoned renowned doctors, I've spent these years researching various complex medical cases abroad. My experience may not match that of doctors with decades of practice, but when it comes to ability, I have absolute confidence in myself."
Ja Jiang finished speaking and took a file from her bag, handing it over to Edison Qin. "This is my resume from these past years. Mr. Qin, you can take a look first and then decide whether I qualify to treat Mr. Qin."
Edison Qin hadn't expected her to be so well-prepared.
Although he had scolded Amelia earlier, he wasn't entirely confident in Ja Jiang.
However, her determination and thorough preparation were quite impressive.
Even without reviewing the resume, her confidence was enough to convince anyone.
With a sense of responsibility towards his grandfather and curiosity about Ja Jiang, Edison reached out to take the file to review it.
However, before he could touch the document, a well-defined hand suddenly shot out from his side, intercepting the file midway...
