"Viridian, that guy over there is Edmund. Make sure you deal with him harshly," Simba pointed at Edmund, his teeth clenched in anger.
Due to Edmund, he lost his job and faced humiliation. Naturally, he harbored intense hatred towards Edmund.
"Don't worry. You're a classmate of my cousin, and I'll definitely take care of the task he entrusted to me. After today, that guy will only be able to live in a wheelchair, or perhaps, he'll lie in bed for the rest of his life. Didn't you say he has a sister who looks very innocent? After we deal with this guy, let's capture his sister and have a good time."
The burly bald man known as "Viridian" cracked a smile, revealing his yellowish teeth, giving off a terrifying and sinister vibe.
"Viridian, you can have the first go with Edmund's sister," Simba said with a flattering smile.
Viridian gestured with a big hand to his subordinates, "Trash this kid for me, but remember, don't kill him. We need to make him suffer for a lifetime."
A dozen or so strong men immediately surrounded Edmund.
In the broad daylight, the alley was already deserted, and the menacing presence of these men caused the few small shops around to pull down their shutters.
The ordinary people did not dare to intervene, fearing trouble for themselves.
"Edmund, you think just because the Conner family pulled you out of jail and you've clung onto Portia's coattails, you can challenge me? This isn't Phantom Group, no one is here to help you!"
Seeing "Viridian's" men surround Edmund, Sherry thought Edmund was trapped like a turtle in a jar, her face immediately showing a triumphant expression.
"You dare to come after me and even think about laying a hand on my sister? It seems the lesson you received last time wasn't enough. You think these dozen or so trash can take me on?"
Edmund's gaze was sharp as he looked at Sherry and Simba.
Though it was his first time facing so many thugs, he was not panicked at all.
Among this group, only the one called "Viridian" had real energy fluctuations, indicating the early stage of a Heavenly Master, while the rest were barely proficient in basic fighting skills.
Now, he was no longer the person he used to be and did not regard this mob seriously.
"How dare you call Viridian as trash?"
Sherry was taken aback by Edmund's strong stance, and after a moment of surprise, she sneered, "Do you think you're something special just because you've become a son-in-law about to keep vigil at a grave, forgetting your own name? Soon, you'll learn how 'death' is spelled!"
"Kid, I've been a tough guy on the streets for many years, and no one has dared to disrespect me like this. I'll make you regret it!"
The bald "Viridian" was infuriated by Edmund's words. His eyes gleamed fiercely, and he signaled his men to attack.
A dozen men armed with baseball bats instantly charged at Edmund.
These were undoubtedly thugs, skilled in street fighting, coordinating well with orderly attacks. In an instant, several baseball bats were aimed at him.
Any ordinary person would have been scared stiff by now, but Edmund remained calm, only making his move when the baseball bats were about to hit.
The lead thug didn't even realize what happened before his baseball bat was effortlessly snatched by Edmund.
The next moment, he felt a strike on his neck, stars danced before his eyes, and he fell to the ground, unconscious.
Without any hesitation, Edmund, with a baseball bat in hand, charged left and right.
With each swing, a thug fell, and in a face-off, he had already taken down five men.
His movements were agile, his body movements dragon-like. The thugs' baseball bats couldn't even touch his clothes.
This was his first combat encounter since acquiring the Flaming Inheritance, practicing Celestial Harmony Arts, and Eight Badge Enchant. Yet, he felt no awkwardness, these martial techniques and methods seemed to have integrated into his soul!
Moreover, he controlled his strength and hardly used any real energy. Otherwise, these thugs would have been far worse off than just unconscious, likely dead.
Sherry and Simba, who had been waiting to enjoy the spectacle, turned pale with fear.
Especially Sherry, as Edmund's ex-girlfriend, she knew very well that Edmund wasn't even considered a sports champion in college. How had he become so formidable now?
The bald "Viridian" narrowed his eyes, realizing something was amiss. He immediately opened the door to a large van, fetched a machete, and charged directly at Edmund.
He knew they had encountered a formidable opponent today. Relying on his dozen men was indeed insufficient against Edmund.
This guy was cunning, quietly circling to Edmund's back, and with a vicious slash, he aimed at Edmund's back.
As a Heavenly Master who had cultivated real energy, his strike was as fast as lightning, full of force.
Despite the sound of the blade cutting through air, Edmund didn't even turn his head. After knocking a thug unconscious with a bat, he suddenly kicked backwards.
Crack!
A terrifying sound of bone breaking was heard as Viridian was hit on the wrist, breaking it, and the machete in his hand also fell to the ground.
Simba and Sherry, seeing Viridian being instantly killed by Edmund, became even more frightened, and those thugs attacking Edmund were already intimidated, holding baseball bats but hesitating to advance.
These people were typical bullies who feared the strong.
Viridian screamed, only to find Edmund suddenly in front of him, a baseball bat placed against his neck.
"With just this little ability, you want to cripple me?" Edmund's voice was extremely cold and full of murderous intent.
"Kid, listen well, Vajra is my cousin. If you dare to touch me, I guarantee you won't survive tonight. You'll be hacked to death by a chaotic blade."
But Viridian still tried to intimidate Edmund with a mixture of fear and bluster.
In Heavenhill City, "Vajra" had no small reputation, he was a ruthless figure in the underworld, the dominant force in Heavenhill City. Few dared to provoke him.
Viridian thought by dropping "Vajra's" name would scare Edmund!
Bang!
Without hesitation, Edmund struck Viridian's leg with the baseball bat.
Viridian's leg was immediately broken, and he fell to the ground, screaming and rolling in pain.
Sherry and Simba did not expect Edmund to be so ruthless. The couple exchanged a glance and immediately ran away.
Their Audi Q7 was parked nearby, once they got into the car, they would be safe.
Whoosh!
Edmund broke the baseball bat in his hands and threw one piece of it.
The half-piece of the baseball bat hit Simba's back like lightning.
Simba was knocked to the ground, spitting out a mouthful of blood. He tried to get up and continue running but couldn't get up for a while.
"Sherry, if you dare to run, I'll make you have a hole in your body!" Edmund shouted coldly.
Sherry, intimidated, didn't dare to run any further.
Edmund slowly approached Sherry, his murderous aura growing stronger.
Sherry suddenly felt that this man was very unfamiliar, as if she had never known him. At this moment, Edmund was like a god of death, suffocating, making it hard for her to breathe.
She wanted to run but couldn't move. Cold sweat dripped from her, and her whole body began to tremble.
"Listen well, anyone who dares to mess with my sister, I'll send him to hell!"
With a slap, Edmund knocked Sherry to the ground, coldly saying, "You and Simba, both deserve to die. But your days are numbered. Killing you would dirty my hands. Now, leave before I change my mind!"
Simba was handicapped by him and only had a few days left to live.
And he found out that Sherry had just contracted a venereal disease yesterday, while Simba did not. It seemed that this promiscuous woman still went out to mess around after being fired by the Phantom Group yesterday.
She was bound to die in pain.
Edmund had long lost any pity for this woman, feeling relieved, as her end was self-inflicted.
When this woman threw herself into Milburn's arms, he had no more feelings for her.
Sherry didn't dare to say anything more, she got up from the ground, and helped Simba up.
Simba's legs were trembling, fearing Edmund would change his mind and not let them leave.
The couple got into the Audi Q7 and drove away.
While those thugs not yet knocked out by Edmund didn't dare to run or fight, each of them was uneasy.
Edmund took out his phone and called his sister, Brandy.
Brandy was not at home, having gone out to look for a summer part-time job. Knowing Brandy was safe, he felt relieved.
But the matter with the burly, bald-headed "Viridian" was far from over. To ensure Brandy's safety and eliminate the hidden danger, he had to find "Vajra," Viridian's cousin!
At this moment, Viridian was still lying on the ground, moaning in pain.
"What's the relationship between you, Simba, and 'Vajra'? If you don't want to die, confess everything about today's incident truthfully!" Edmund approached Viridian, speaking from a position of authority.
"Let me tell you, Simba and my cousin 'Vajra' were classmates. Today's action was arranged by 'Vajra.' Edmund, you've gotten yourself into big trouble..." Viridian grunted.
"Who's really in trouble, that's not certain. Where is 'Vajra'. I want to talk to him," Edmund said coldly.
He was well aware that since Simba had a special relationship with "Vajra," simply teaching Simba a lesson was not enough. He also needed to make "Vajra" feel afraid, so his sister Brandy would be truly safe.
Having spent a year in prison, plus acquiring the Flaming Inheritance, his personality had changed significantly from before, he had become decisive in killing!
