The interview results for the latest recruitment at LM are out. When Olivia Xia looked at the list of those who passed the interview, seeing Leah Wu's name was not surprising at all. Indeed, her UCL graduation from y country gave her a significant advantage. Even though Olivia Xia had reservations about her, she still has an edge over others. As the Chief Designer, Olivia Xia's only responsibility is to personally select her Chief Assistant. She won't interfere too much in the selection of other positions. On the day the new recruits arrived, Olivia Xia arrived early at her office. Today, Olivia Xia had dressed up in a stylish and professional shirt dress with a belt, paired with knee-high boots. Her long hair was hidden under a wig cap, leaving her with a short haircut, making her look fashionable, elegant, and poised. "Good morning, President Riley," Alger Chu greeted her as soon as she entered the office, smiling. "I added some potted plants and a small conference table to your office without your permission. I hope you like it." Olivia Xia glanced at the office, now infused with more vitality, and nodded slightly, "Not bad, thoughtful of you." Alger Chu's smile became warmer, "I'm glad you like it. If you need anything else, just let me know." Olivia Xia nodded and took her seat. Alger Chu personally poured her a cup of coffee and stood by, appearing hesitant to speak. After inserting a USB drive, Olivia Xia quickly transferred her usual office software to her new computer. When she noticed that Alger Chu was still there, she furrowed her brow and asked, "Is there something you want to discuss?" Alger Chu was about to speak when the door was pushed open. Alger Chu rushed in, looking exhausted with dark circles under his eyes. "President Riley, the new recruits are reporting to the HR department. We plan to have a welcome meeting at eleven, and we would appreciate it if you could say a few words." Since they had hired designers, who would be under her leadership, Olivia Xia agreed without hesitation, "Sure." "Great, I'll go make the arrangements," Alger Chu said, then glanced at his brother, who appeared to be in a bad mood. "Oh, Second Brother, it seems like you're not responsible for the design area. Why are you here bothering President Riley and trying to make your presence felt?" Alger Chu's face darkened a bit more, "When it comes to making one's presence felt, who can compare to our older brother?" With that, he gave Olivia Xia a warm smile, "President Riley, I do have something I'd like to discuss with you. If you're busy now, I can come back in a couple of days." Olivia Xia, contrary to their expectations, simply nodded, "I am indeed busy today. Additionally, President Meryl is the head of the company, so you can consult with him if necessary." Her implication was clear: don't bother me unless it's necessary. Seeing his younger brother lose this round, Alger Chu couldn't help but smile smugly. Olivia Xia paid no attention to the interactions between the two brothers and dismissed them. It was just past ten in the morning. After finishing her immediate tasks, Olivia Xia planned to take a walk outside and then prepare for the meeting. However, as soon as she stepped out of her office, she encountered Leah Wu, who was nervously loitering in the hallway, seemingly hesitant to enter. The four new recruits had arrived promptly at nine in the morning and were assigned to different departments by HR. Leah Wu had hoped to secure the position of Chief Assistant but was ultimately assigned the role of Assistant Designer. This was a far cry from her expectations. Not willing to accept this, during a break, she found her way to the office of the Chief Designer, hoping to discover who had taken her desired position. To her surprise, Olivia Xia came out of the office. She widened her eyes and, with heightened emotions, exclaimed, "You, it's you? What are you doing here?" Olivia Xia lazily glanced at Leah Wu and responded, "Can't I be here?" "You, being chosen as the Chief Assistant by President Riley?" Leah Wu was so flustered that she nearly fainted. She had been wondering all along, what kind of exceptionally talented person could be chosen by the legendary President Riley. If the person was more skilled than herself, she would have accepted it. But it turned out to be this relatively unknown woman, who even cheated in the interview?! How could she accept this? "Hmm, with this look, you really resemble a human being, but do you think no one knows about your deceitful actions?" Jealousy contorted Leah Wu's face. "Let me tell you, I've seen it!" When the two of them arrived at the conference, there were still more than ten minutes before it was set to begin. The other two new recruits were already sitting inside. Seeing Olivia Xia and Leah Wu enter, one of the female recruits stood up to greet Leah Wu, "Leah, did you really succeed in applying for the Chief Assistant position? Congratulations!" Leah Wu's face darkened, and she clenched her fists tightly. "You're congratulating the wrong person. The Chief Assistant position belongs to the person next to me..." "What? Her...her?" Aria Lin widened her eyes, "But no matter how I look at it, there's no way she could be better than Leah." "What's going on?" At this moment, Alger Chu walked by with several senior executives and, upon seeing Olivia Xia about to greet her, gestured for her to stop. Upon seeing Leah Wu, Alger Chu immediately understood what was happening and gave her a slight warning look, signaling her to go inside without saying much. After all, Leah Wu was someone that Xavier Si wanted to protect, and given Xavier Si's tendency to be protective, he didn't know how to handle it if she clashed with President Riley. "Everyone, please take your seats; the meeting is about to begin." Alger Chu cleared his throat and entered the conference room first, secretly praying that this lady wouldn't provoke President Riley. However, just as everyone had taken their seats, Leah Wu couldn't wait any longer and stood up, "President Meryl, I have something to say."
