The disciples' laughter stopped abruptly the next moment.
Ryan's body seemed to disappear from their sight, only to reappear in front of Simon like an apparition. Before Simon could react, a Roar Blitz hit his chest solidly.
Blood spurted from Simon's mouth as he fell heavily to the ground, groaning and unable to fight back.
Ryan, turning his back on Simon, leaped toward Hadley.
In a state of panic, Hadley was helpless as Ryan attacked Adeline, throwing her to the ground before turning his fierce gaze on Hadley.
The unexpected scene unfolded in an instant, like a flash of lightning in a thunderstorm.
"I've thought about this carefully. And every time, I get the same answer—I'll break your fingers!" Ryan said coldly, looking directly into Hadley's eyes.
"Are you out of your mind, you asshole?!" Hadley roared, his fury growing. "Even the top ten outer disciples wouldn't dare speak to me like this. And you! You're nothing but a waste with no spiritual meridian. How dare you talk to me like this? You really want to die, don't you?"
"There are a lot of things I want to do to make you suffer. Let me see... Aha! I've decided. I'll just break your arm!" Ryan replied, his voice dripping with disdain.
"Dear Hadley, please help me out!" Adeline cried helplessly from the ground, tears streaming down her face as if she had suffered a great injustice.
"How dare you lay a finger on my woman? I will kill you!" Hadley shouted, his anger escalating at Adeline's pleas for help.
"Hal, it's funny how just a shameless wench can make you this angry. It seems you're nothing but an animal thinking with the lower part of your body," Ryan said with a faint smile, further igniting Hadley's rage.
"Yowl! Deadly Claw!" Hadley rushed angrily toward Ryan, his claw surrounded by spiritual energy aimed at Ryan's throat.
"Look at him, a waste without a spiritual meridian, daring to speak to Hadley like that. He will definitely die under the Deadly Claw," some disciples remarked, still flattering Hadley.
"That's right. Hadley has been at the fourth grade of Dermal Fortification for about a month now. His Deadly Claw is at the advanced stage of Ascetical Level. This waste has no chance of surviving," others echoed, their disdain for Ryan unwavering.
"So, Deadly Claw is a cultivation method at the advanced stage of Ascetical Level?" Ryan felt the immense power coming from Hadley's claw.
Coldly, he thought, "Let me show you what a body at the fourth grade of Dermal Fortification looks like after consuming 25 Body Refining Pills!"
"Yowl! Roar Blitz!" Ryan roared, leaping forward with the power of a tiger. His tiger-powered fist collided with Hadley's claw.
Crack!
The sound of bones breaking echoed through the air. The disciples heard it clearly. However, it was not Ryan who screamed and flew out. Surprisingly, it was the aggressive Hadley.
Hadley fell to the ground, screaming in pain and agony. It was hard to believe that this was the same arrogant and disdainful Hadley from before.
In the dull and fearful eyes of the crowd, Ryan walked slowly to Hadley's side and said indifferently, "A waste produced by just a bunch of elixirs is not qualified to touch me, let alone break my arm."
Ryan then stepped on Hadley's right shoulder and twisted it hard, dislocating it. The joint connecting his arm was fractured, and Hadley's scream once again frightened the onlookers.
Adeline and Simon were stunned with disbelief.
Ryan left the scene, carrying the package filled with flesh and blood. The disciples, stunned and filled with absolute terror, involuntarily cleared the way for him.
After a few moments, the disciples thought, "Is he really a waste without a spiritual meridian?"
Inside the Outer Kitchen Hall, two old men in white stood and intently watched the scene without moving.
"This boy that Giselle brought back is good in all aspects, but too bad he has no spiritual meridian. Otherwise, we would have another demi-immortal in the Soshill Sect," said one of the old men.
"Didn't you give the Nine-degree Body Refining Formula to the boy?" asked the other old man. "Do you think there will be a miracle? Do you think it's possible?"
The old man just shook his head subconsciously and sighed, still doubtful of what they had witnessed.
"Master, I'm back," Ryan said as he entered Giselle's room.
"Well. Work hard to cultivate the Nine-degree Body Refining Formula. After six weeks, I'll take you to a place that would be good for you. There, I'll try to make you qualified for the Outer Competition happening in three months," Giselle nodded and said.
She was ready to close her eyes again, trying to gain some insight into some kind of cultivation method.
"Master, I broke the arm of an outer disciple," Ryan said faintly after contemplating whether he should tell his master what happened or not.
Giselle was surprised by his words, but she didn't let her voice show her emotion. She merely said, "Let it be."
"Master, it seems as if he has a tough backer," Ryan was indeed a little worried, which showed in the quiver of his voice.
"Giselle, get out of your room!" A shout from the courtyard interrupted them, the voice clearly belonging to a woman.
Giselle stared at Ryan with wide-open eyes, which seemed to say, "You got me in trouble just for buying meat outside."
But she didn't blame Ryan. She appeared in the courtyard as fast as she could.
Ryan, filled with worry, immediately followed his master outside. Based on the outer disciples’ reactions, Hadley really had a tough backer.
Outside, a woman clad in a red robe stood in the middle of the courtyard with a young man by her side.
Ryan recognized the young man as Wesley Noel, the nephew of Nelson, the master of Noel Clan.
Among the members of the Noel Clan, Wesley was in the top five geniuses.
Ryan guessed Wesley had now broken through to the sixth grade of Dermal Fortification. Wesley had been chosen by this robe-clad woman as her nominal disciple.
As soon as Wesley saw Ryan, he naturally looked at him with murderous intent.
"Cora, what are you doing here? You know you are not welcome on my land," Giselle said coldly, looking at Cora with disdain.
"Hand over the boy beside you, and we will not interfere with each other. Otherwise, don't blame me for ignoring our friendship and being rude," Cora responded, her voice filled with rage.
"Not interfere with each other? Are you even allowed to say that?" Giselle asked coldly. "And I am standing right here in front of you now. You can have a try."
Giselle crossed her arms, filled with a disdainful look.
Cora's anger surged like a volcanic eruption. Her fury was so strong that even Ryan could feel it.
"Giselle, let me ask you again. Will you hand the boy over?" Cora roared, trying to calm her anger.
"No way!" Giselle answered with indifference, bringing Cora's anger back.
"Great! Very well then..." Cora was furious but didn't dare make a move because she knew she was no match for Giselle.
"Ryan, you waste. Do you only dare to hide behind a woman? How cowardly of you!" Wesley taunted Ryan.
