Christina closed the door, turned around, and bowed to Abel.
"Greetings, supreme alchemist."
Her words rang out like a sudden clap of thunder, shaking everyone to the core.
Denver, who had followed closely behind, trembled violently before dropping to his knees at Abel's feet.
Supreme alchemist was the pinnacle of alchemy.
Abel was only sixteen years old. He had successfully refined nine upper-grade True Essence Pills, but that alone wasn't enough to earn the title of supreme alchemist.
Even a Level Three Alchemy Master could achieve such a feat.
Yet Christina wouldn't joke about something like this. Even though Denver had his doubts, he didn't dare question her.
The young man in the room also looked at Abel in shock. It took him a moment to recover before he quickly bowed.
"Greetings, supreme alchemist. I am Jeremy Matney."
Matney? That surname belonged only to royalty.
Could Jeremy be of royal blood?
Abel didn't dwell on Jeremy's background. Instead, he was still caught off guard—when did he become the supreme alchemist?
"Only the supreme alchemist can use Soulfire," Christina reminded him, seeing his confusion.
"Mr. Letherdale's alchemy flame is Soulfire? I've been too ignorant," Denver gasped in realization, his entire body trembling with excitement.
Never in his wildest dreams did he expect to witness a young supreme alchemist in his lifetime. He could die without regrets now.
In alchemy, skill mattered more than age.
"I can indeed control Soulfire, but I'm no supreme alchemist," Abel said, waving his hand dismissively.
"But your alchemy technique is skillful and commanding. Your fire control surpasses that of an ordinary Alchemy Master. It's completely worthy of the title," Christina insisted.
Abel had nothing to say. If they wanted to call him a supreme alchemist, so be it.
"What does the Grand Alchemy Master need from me?" he asked.
"Oh, no, I wouldn't dare," Christina quickly corrected him. "My name is Christina, an elder of Elixir Hall."
She dared not let a supreme alchemist adequately address her.
"All right then, Madam Bane. Get to the point," Abel said.
"Mr. Abel, I have a request," Christina said, glancing at Jeremy before explaining the situation.
Jeremy was her nephew. A lethal dark energy had poisoned him, and he was barely hanging on. The only cure was the Golden Immortality Elixir.
However, one of the key ingredients for refining the elixir was incredibly rare and could only be found on a mountain outside Sunway City.
So she traveled to Sunway City with Jeremy, seeking the ingredient and protecting him.
Her mission was carried out in secret, and she had stayed in the Elixir Pavilion, with only Denver aware of her presence.
Otherwise, there was no way someone of Denver's status could have come into contact with a Level Nine Grand Alchemy Master.
"Have you found the ingredient?" Abel asked.
"Yes," Christina replied.
"Then why haven't you started refining the elixir?"
"Golden Immortality Elixir requires intense heat, and my Truefire isn't strong enough. I've already failed several times." Christina lowered her gaze slightly, looking somewhat embarrassed.
"So you need Soulfire?" Abel immediately understood.
"My nephew's life is hanging by a thread. I beg Mr. Abel to help us. I would be forever grateful," Christina said, her eyes red as she bowed to him.
Abel quickly reached out to stop her.
"Please, Madam Bane, there's no need for that. I'll refine the Golden Immortality Elixir for you," he assured her.
She had just helped him earlier, so returning the favor was only fair.
"I'll fetch the cauldron and the ingredients." Denver scrambled to his feet and rushed out.
Before long, he returned as he carried a cauldron and brought three sets of ingredients for the Golden Immortality Elixir.
"Mr. Abel, will three portions be enough, or should I prepare more?" Denver asked respectfully.
"No need. One will do." Abel waved a hand, opened the cauldron, and summoned his Soulfire to warm it up.
"Mr. Abel, should I tell you the ingredients and refining process?" Christina asked, stepping closer.
"No need. I know how to do it," Abel replied.
He had inherited the Golden Immortality Elixir alchemical techniques and was familiar with the process. After a brief pause, he added, "Also, stop calling me Mr. Abel. Just Abel is fine."
Like before, he tossed the ingredients into the cauldron and purified them in a single step.
His alchemy technique was incredibly refined, his Soulfire was fierce, and the process was exceptionally smooth.
Denver stood by, completely dazzled.
On the other hand, Christina nodded repeatedly, admiration shining in her eyes.
She was envious of Abel's Soulfire—beyond anything she had ever seen.
After that, it was time to form the elixir. This required intense heat.
Abel increased his Soulfire's power, blasting the cauldron with scorching flames.
A moment later, the cauldron couldn't withstand the heat and shattered.
It had exploded.
"The cauldron couldn't handle the Soulfire. We need a better one," Christina said, her once-hopeful eyes dimming.
Denver turned pale as cold sweat ran down his back.
The best cauldron in the Elixir Pavilion had just been destroyed. Where were they supposed to find a better one now?
"No need," Abel said as he sifted through the shattered remains.
A moment later, he pulled out a single pill and smiled. "Luckily, one survived."
Everyone's eyes lit up as they gazed at the pill in his hand.
Christina immediately took the Golden Immortality Elixir and had Jeremy swallow it.
Not long after, he grimaced in pain, but the dark energy between his brows quickly dissipated.
"Thank you for saving my life," Jeremy said, relieved.
He then pulled out a jade pendant engraved with a dragon and handed it to Abel. "This pendant is my token. If Mr. Abel ever visits the capital city, present this, and you'll have unrestricted entry into the royal palace."
Abel accepted the jade pendant and then prepared to leave.
Christina tried to persuade him to stay, but seeing that he was set on leaving, she escorted him out of the Elixir Pavilion.
"Mr. Letherdale, if you ever come to the capital city, you must visit Elixir Hall. I owe you a great debt, and I'd repay it properly."
Abel nodded, then requested a cauldron from Denver before leaving.
Meanwhile, Luca slammed his palm onto the table in the grand hall of the city lord's mansion, his fury boiling over. Caleb, who was kneeling before him, trembled violently.
He had reported everything about Abel, and the news had enraged Luca beyond words.
If only he had killed Abel back then, things wouldn't have come to this.
He had destroyed Abel's energy center and martial meridians, yet somehow, Abel still possessed cultivation and could refine pills. This was absurd.
What angered him the most was that Caleb had lost fifty Spiritual Energy Pills to Abel.
If Abel used those pills to regain his strength and entered the Purple Cloud Sect's recruitment tournament, he would be a threat to Victoria.
"Father, there's less than a month before the recruitment tournament. No matter how hard that bastard trains, he won't reach his former peak," Victoria reassured Luca.
"Besides, I've already advanced to the True Essence Realm. Even if Abel were at his strongest, he wouldn't be my match."
"Still… we can't afford to take chances," Luca muttered.
Just then, a calm yet mocking voice rang out.
"You have nothing to worry about. Abel will never step foot in Purple Cloud Sect."
Seated in the grand hall was a strikingly handsome young man draped in a Purple Cloud Robe. His demeanor exuded effortless charm.
"Cole, do you have a plan?"
Luca's fury instantly gave way to a smile as he eagerly inquired.
Cole chuckled, his expression calm yet confident. "I won't let Victoria down."
With that, he retrieved an ornate brocade box and flipped it open. In an instant, a rich, intoxicating aroma filled the hall.
"The Purple Essence Pill!"
Luca's eyes widened as he caught sight of the golden pill inside. His face broke into a broad grin.
It was the finest elixir for those in the True Essence Realm—far more valuable than the Millennium Dragon Essence Fruit—a treasure of the Purple Cloud Sect.
"Cole, I knew you were the best."
Victoria stepped toward Cole, her gaze soft and alluring, her every movement radiating an irresistible charm.
"If I don't treat my fiancée well, then who else would I?"
Cole chuckled as he wrapped an arm around Victoria's waist, his smile filled with warmth.
