Mila didn't wait for Peter to react. She grabbed him and rushed into the room.
Peter tried to escape, only to find Mila standing at the door, arms wide open, as she blocked his way.
"Mila, don't play along with Owen. I really have a way to cure his illness! Listen to me. Get out of the way. The drug you gave me is still in my system, and I need to get rid of it somehow."
"If you want to expel it, why not with me?" Mila stepped closer, her chest thrust forward as she advanced.
"Don't think of me as your sister-in-law; just think of me as the one you called last night. Today, just take a nap, have a dream, and I'll handle the rest, okay?"
Mila's words made Peter feel like the world had gone mad.
She slowly unbuttoned her shirt. The black lace lingerie was a striking sight, delivering a powerful visual shock to Peter. The images from last night began to flood back.
Just as Mila was about to pounce, a shout erupted from outside.
"Mila, get out here!"
"I know you're inside. Get out now, or I'll show everyone in town how enticing you look doing that strip dance!"
The familiar voice instantly reminded Peter of someone. He rushed to the window, pulling back the curtain to look outside.
"It's Russell! He's brought a bunch of people."
As Peter spoke, Mila froze in panic. "What do we do? They made me do a strip tease when I applied for the job. I didn't strip completely, but... If they release that footage, I... I can't face anyone!"
Seeing Mila's panicked expression, Peter quickly reassured her. "Mila, don't worry. I'll handle this! Go to the living room and watch over Owen. Don't come out, and don't let him wake up. If he finds out about this, I'm afraid he won't be able to handle it!"
With that, Peter turned and headed for the door.
"Be careful..." Mila's words lingered as he swiftly turned toward the door.
Peter didn't want to waste time, fearing the crowd would grow. That would stir up more trouble.
Meanwhile, Russell saw Peter emerging from the house and instinctively took two steps back. But he quickly remembered he had over twenty men with him, each wielding a machete.
With such a lineup, why should he be afraid?
Russell puffed out his chest, adopting an arrogant stance. He waved his phone. "Kid, you're quite the player, huh? Didn't get enough last night, so you returned for more?"
"Shut up," Peter snapped.
"Oh, you think you can boss me around?" Russell signaled with a wave of his hand. His men surrounded Peter, some still holding grudges from the previous night's confrontation.
"You guys got health insurance?" Peter suddenly asked. His question left the crowd looking at each other in confusion. Who ever heard of gangsters having health insurance?
"Looks like you'll all be paying out of pocket!" Peter said before they could react. He launched forward like a bullet. In less than a minute, more than twenty men were down, some not even having raised their blades.
Then, Peter took a wide stance, generating force from his waist. With a powerful punch, he slammed the door of a nearby SUV, crumpling the steel and shattering the windows and windshield.
Seeing this, Russell's confidence crumbled. One thought filled his mind, "Is this guy even human?"
Before he could process what had happened, Peter had already snatched the phone from his hand.
"You..."
"Got any complaints?" Peter smirked coldly.
"No, none at all!" Russell stammered, stepping back cautiously.
"Stand your ground, or your head will end up like that car door!" Peter's words sent a shiver down Russell's spine, making him tremble uncontrollably.
"S-Sir... I didn't know better. I'll give you the footage back; it's on this phone. I promise there's no backup!"
"Please spare me. I really know I was wrong..."
Peter didn't respond but took out a bottle from his pocket, pouring a pill the size of a soybean into his palm. "Swallow this!"
"S-Sir..." Russell panicked. He wondered what was going on.
"Just eat it. Why so many questions?" Peter glared.
Russell dared not hesitate. He quickly picked up the pill and tossed it into his mouth.
Seeing this, Peter chuckled, making an indistinct sound that sounded both like singing and chanting. Though the sound was soft, Russell seemed to hear it clearly.
The next moment, Russell fell to the ground, clutching his stomach, writhing in agony.
When Peter stopped, Russell was drenched in sweat, gasping for air.
He looked at Peter in terror, not knowing what had just happened. He only knew the pain was worse than death.
Peter crouched in front of him, chuckling softly. "What you just swallowed is a type of parasite."
"In a week, you better find information on a few types of medicine for me. If you can't..."
"That parasite will burrow into your internal organs and wreak havoc, and that feeling... will be worse than death!"
Peter's ruthless expression sent shivers down Russell's spine as if he'd seen a ghost. Terrified, he fell to his knees, bowing and pleading for mercy.
Peter needed to find those rare medicines to treat Owen's injuries. He grabbed a phone from one of the fallen men, keyed in his number, and tossed it back.
"Get lost... And don't bother the couple again, or I have countless ways to make your life a living hell!"
Seeing there was no turning back, Russell gritted his teeth and left with his people who could still stand, limping away.
Peter turned back toward the house and noticed Mila's complex expression through the window.
After using his internal energy, he felt the drug's effects becoming harder to suppress. If he went back inside, he would inevitably fulfill the couple's wishes and do something inappropriate.
After a moment of hesitation, he decided to walk away.
