"You creep! If you've got the guts, untie me now!"
"Touch me again, and we're done for good!"
In the warden's office, a woman's defiant shout was cut short by a series of loud smacks, quickly turning into moans of ecstasy. "Ah! Yes..."
"Stop yelling. Just hang in there a bit longer. It'll be over soon!"
Keaton Lyson's slaps came so fast that the tied-up woman couldn't handle it anymore.
She burst forth with true energy, snapping the ropes and sending her long leg straight toward his handsome face.
"Oh crap!" Keaton quickly dodged, muttering, "You really turn on someone as soon as you're done with them, don't you?"
In front of him, the woman was sprawled half-naked on the floor, her skin glistening with sweat. She looked exhausted, glaring at Keaton, grabbing her scattered dark green uniform to cover her chest. "Turn around!"
"Tsk!" Keaton stayed unfazed, chuckling softly. "It's not like it's anything new to me."
"You..." She bit her lip angrily, her face flushed with shame and irritation.
Britney Yale was the newly promoted one-star War God of Chiton and the only female War God admired by thousands. She was once full of ambition but had unexpectedly been severely injured by Lilith, one of the Four Kings of the underground world.
Poisoned by Lilith's venom, she had no choice but to follow her father's advice and seek help from an expert in Eternal Prison.
However, to her disbelief, the expert was her father's arranged fiancé for her. What was worse, this stranger claimed that to cure her, she had to take off her clothes!
Taking off her clothes was one thing, but then he tied her up and spanked her, each hit harder than the last. While each slap brought her closer to clarity, by the time she was fully conscious, her backside was sore and red, making sitting unbearable.
"Why are you looking at me like that? You can see this place is pretty bare; this method was the simplest and most effective way to snap you out of it."
"Tying you up was just to keep you from moving and messing up the treatment."
Keaton let out a soft chuckle.
His Nether Attack was unmatched in both saving and taking lives. No matter the poison, a single slap could bring clarity.
This time, he had to hit hard since she was severely poisoned. It wasn't his fault; the force went both ways, and his palm was sore, too.
"You bastard, you did it on purpose!"
"Once the prisoners start spreading rumors, you'll have an easy time claiming you're my husband!"
"You've really planned this out, haven't you?"
Britney got dressed, regaining her usual confident demeanor, though her cheeks still flushed with anger.
Being Chiton's only female War God, she was proud and confident. How could treatment involve such a misleading method as spanking?
Clearly, he knew who she was and took advantage of it, hoping to marry into her family and rise from a prison guard to the husband of a War God and a son-in-law of the Yale family in Belville.
Keaton frowned, his voice cold. "Britney, are you out of your mind? Who's dying to be your husband? I just found out about our engagement, too."
"Oh, cut the act!"
Britney's eyes glinted coldly as she pulled out a marriage contract and a bank card and slammed them on the table. "This is the annulment agreement I prepared. Sign it, and the million in the card is yours, as a token of gratitude for your treatment!"
"Let me tell you, the husband I choose must be a hero standing on top of the world, not a coward guarding a prison. You're not worthy of me, and there's no way for us!"
Britney's eyes were filled with disdain.
Keaton laughed with disdain. He signed the paper with a flourish and tossed it back to her.
"You're dismissed. Get lost!"
"As for the million, keep it. I don't need it!"
Britney's face turned beet red with anger. Not only had he humiliated her, but he also claimed to dismiss her. If word got out, she'd have no face left.
But given the situation, she had to swallow her anger. "Remember, we're from different worlds. If I hear a word about today from you, I won't spare you!"
With that, the woman stormed out.
A moment later, there was a knock on the door. The warden entered cautiously. "Lord Nether, your letter."
Keaton, in a foul mood, said, "Leave it there. You may go."
"Yes, sir!"
The warden quickly complied, not daring to linger a second longer. Being around Keaton was too stressful.
Ever since he arrived at Eternal Prison three years ago, this office had never felt like his own. The prisoners, once restless, had all turned into docile kittens, not daring to make a sound.
The reason was simple.
Keaton, known globally as Lord Nether, had once struck fear into the entire underworld with just a knife, leaving an indelible mark of terror on politicians worldwide.
The last time he was in a bad mood, he bombed Amurica's Pentagon with a fighter jet, showcasing his madness.
Keaton opened the envelope. Inside were half a jade pendant, a photo, and a phone. He played the audio on the phone—his teacher's usual way of assigning tasks.
"Keaton, how's your mastery of bedroom skills coming along? You better give me a chubby baby soon."
"Have you met Britney? She's quite capable, though her temper isn't great. I know you don't respond well to force, so I arranged another marriage for you!"
"The grandfather of Alicia Scurr from Yanos City helped me back when I was down on my luck. In return, I promised you would marry his granddaughter once you came of age to repay that kindness.
"The half jade pendant in the envelope is the engagement token. You'll find Alicia's contact and address on the back of the photo. You can now leave the prison and become the Scurr family's son-in-law!"
With that, the old man's cheeky voice ended.
Keaton felt a surge of frustration, wanting to beat him up. Last time, he was asked to guard the prison; now, he's being told to become a live-in son-in-law.
But he owed the old man a debt of gratitude and had no choice but to comply. He was an orphan, raised in the orphanage until the old man took him in and taught him all his skills.
Keaton mastered martial arts, medicine, geomancy, alchemy, music, chess, calligraphy, and painting, making the old man often wonder who his real mentor was.
Half an hour later, under the warden's arrangements, all the notorious prisoners in Eternal Prison banged their drums and shouted excitedly, "Farewell, Lord Nether!"
"We'll miss you, sir!"
Various voices echoed.
Keaton turned, flashing a grin at them. "Don't worry, I'll visit often. No need to miss me too much."
Instantly, silence fell. All the prisoners wore grim expressions, looking crestfallen. Clearly, they'd suffered under Keaton for the past three years. They weren't afraid of death, but this man could make them wish for it with a finger flick.
With that, Keaton waved goodbye and boarded a plane to Yanos City.
Little did he expect that he'd see a familiar face in first class as soon as he boarded.
"Why is she here? Can't believe I'm running into this woman again." Keaton sighed as he spotted the dashing figure ahead.
