Meanwhile, Gabriel's voice became stern when he noticed Keaton was silent. "Alicia, don't forget your promise to me. Apologize right now."
Reluctantly, Alicia swallowed her frustration, murmuring resentfully, "Keaton, I shouldn't have left you behind. I'm sorry. Please come back, alright?"
Keaton couldn't help but smile even more broadly when he heard this.
He replied deliberately, "Alicia, my signal's not great. Could you say that louder and more sincerely?"
Alicia's anger flared, but with Gabriel there, she had no choice but to comply. "Keaton, it was my fault. I beg your forgiveness. If you're still upset, you can drive next time and leave me behind."
Keaton could feel Alicia's frustration even over the phone, leaving him quite satisfied. "Mr. Scurr Sr., I'll be right back."
He hung up, humming as he strolled out of the villa and headed to the Scurr Manor.
Shortly after he left, a black business car pulled up to the villa. The door opened, revealing two striking figures—Britney and her assistant, Athena Gunn.
"Athena, are you sure about this info? Is the future High Lord of Drakon Hall really living here?" Britney asked.
"It should be accurate. The warden from Eternal Prison leaked the news," Athena replied.
"Good. If we can win this person over and take control of Drakon Hall's power will make getting that treasure much easier," Britney said calmly.
"Britney, there's something I don't get. What's up with this treasure that we can't even use the military?" Athena asked tentatively.
Britney shot her a glance but remained silent.
Athena immediately realized her mistake. "Sorry, I shouldn't have said that."
"Knock the door. I'm really curious about what the future High Lord of Drakon Hall looks like," Britney said, looking at the house with anticipation.

Meanwhile, at the Scurr Manor, Gabriel beamed as he looked at the two marriage certificates. "Keaton, Alicia, you're now married. When do you plan to share a room? I can't wait for my great-grandchild's arrival."
Alicia's face turned crimson as she stammered, "G-Grandpa... Keaton and I just met; we need time to get used to each other."
Keaton chuckled. "Mr. Scurr Sr., Alicia has a point. Once we get used to each other, I'll move into her room."
Alicia glanced at Keaton, slightly surprised, as if acknowledging his tactfulness.
For Keaton, staying at his own place was way more appealing than moving into the Scurr Manor.
"Well, alright then," Gabriel mused, smiling. "Let's eat. Keaton, you and I should have a few drinks."
"Sounds good."
As Keaton and Gabriel clinked glasses, their conversation became more animated. Alicia focused on her meal, turning her displeasure into appetite.
Meanwhile, Brody and Tina watched with frustration, wondering what Gabriel saw in Keaton. To them, he seemed like an unemployed drifter dressed like a country bumpkin. If other families found out the Scurrs had such a son-in-law, they'd surely be ridiculed.
After a satisfying meal, Keaton said goodbye to the family and left the Scurr Manor.
It was late by then.
Walking along the road, he suddenly saw a white Maserati speeding recklessly toward him.
Inside the car, a stunning woman looked panicked and shouted, "Get out of the way! The car's out of control!"
True to his helpful nature, Keaton calmly raised his hand and stepped in front of the car.
The woman inside widened her eyes in shock, exclaiming, "Are you crazy?"
She couldn't bear to witness the impending crash, but to her astonishment, Keaton merely waved a hand, and the runaway Maserati came to a halt.
"Are you even human?"
The woman gaped at Keaton as if she had seen a ghost. She never imagined anyone could stop an out-of-control car with just a single motion.
For Keaton, this was nothing. In his globe-trotting adventures, even handling warships was no big deal, let alone a car.
"Miss, someone tampered with your car. Let me fix it for you," Keaton said, opening the hood and adjusting the cables.
Meanwhile, the woman inside noticed the warning signals disappeared, and the car returned to normal.
"Thank you." She rolled down the window, expressing her gratitude sincerely.
"No need for thanks. Just give me a lift," Keaton replied, waving off her thanks and getting into the passenger seat.
"Uh..."
The woman was momentarily taken aback but didn't object, considering he had helped her.
"Where are you headed?" she asked.
"To—"
Before Keaton could finish, several black business cars surrounded the white Maserati.
"Oh no, it's Drakon Hall's people!" The woman's face paled, her expression taut with unprecedented tension.
A group of men in black attire emerged from the cars. The leader, a man with a scarred face, exuded a menacing aura.
He tapped on the Maserati's window, sneering. "Miley, you're lucky. Didn't expect your car to be intact."
The woman raged, "So it was you who tampered with it. You're despicable!"
No wonder her car lost control shortly after leaving the auction; it was their doing.
"Miley, daring to snatch something from Drakon Hall means certain death, even if you're the daughter of a tycoon. Be smart and hand it over, and you'll spare yourself, the man, Scarro said coldly.
"And if I refuse?" Miley Ximenez bit her lip, unwilling to concede.
"Refuse?" Scarro's lips curled into a smirk. "Then I'll take it by force. If there's a collision and you get hurt, your father will be mourning."
His tone turned sinister. "I'll give you three seconds to get out!"
"And your companion too. Get out and hand it over if you value your life!"
As Miley hesitated, Keaton spoke up. "You stay here; I'll handle them."
Without waiting for a response, he exited the car, facing Scarro and his men with composed ease. "Are you from Drakon Hall? Do you know Marcellus Casson?"
"How dare you address Mr. Casson by his name?!" Scarro barked, drawing a knife and threatening, "Kid, Miley didn't have you with her before, so you must've joined later. Be smart and kneel for your earlier actions, and I might spare you."
"Even Marcellus wouldn't dare speak to me like that. The one courting death is you!" Keaton declared, delivering a swift slap to Scarro's face.
Smack!
Just a simple slap from him sent Scarro flying several meters, landing heavily with blood pouring from his mouth.
The scene fell into an eerie silence.
