Chapter 44: Close Call

In the darkness, two men in casual clothes skulked down a run-down street, smoke curling from the cigarettes in their mouths. They glanced around nervously, finally fixing their gaze on an Audi parked not far away. As they got closer, they peeked through the half-open window by the moonlight, but the car was empty.
