"Bastard!"
The man in black was furious, gritting his teeth against the sharp pain in his chest, he struggled to his feet.
"Huh, turns out you're from Flamora," Travis said, looking surprised and eyeing the man in black.
He didn't know a word of Flamoran, but he could tell the man was cursing.
"Hmph, you've got a death wish, insulting me!" Travis's expression turned icy.
"You're dead, kid!"
The man in black charged again, brandishing a blade that flashed coldly in the moonlight.
Travis watched the blade coming at him without a hint of panic.
Someone this weak couldn't even handle a slap from him.
"Watch out, young man!"
Suddenly, a shout came from the side, and a man flew in, landing a kick right to the Flamoran's waist.
"Ouch!" the Flamoran howled, flying back several meters.
"Hey, kid, you okay?" The man rushed over after knocking the Flamoran away.
Travis sized the man up.
He had a square jaw, and his suit fit him so well that it made him look even more imposing.
"No worries. Good thing you guys got here fast. Otherwise, this guy would be dead," Travis said, shaking his head.
The man paused, thinking Travis was showing off, then laughed, "Haha, you've got guts, kid. Not bad."
He turned his gaze to the Flamoran, his voice cold.
"Shane Jameson, you stole our country's secrets. Where do you think you're running off to?"
Travis was taken aback, quickly realizing the Flamoran was a spy.
No wonder anti-spy banners were hanging all over town.
"Kenneth Jenkins, you are faster than I thought. I thought I had covered my tracks, but you still caught me," Shane said, wincing as he clutched his aching side, his eyes cold.
Kenneth chuckled coldly, his eyes mocking, "Honestly, I started getting suspicious the moment you worked hard to join our research team."
"Oh? Really?"
Shane frowned, thinking how cunning these Solvenzians were.
"Shane, give it up! Solvenzia's safety isn't up for grabs. Tell us everything you know and we'll go easy on you," Kenneth said as he approached Shane.
Shane snorted, "Think I'll submit? Keep dreaming!"
"Not cooperating, then?" Kenneth's face hardened, and he signaled to the Special Security Bureau members, "Take him down!"
The agents didn't hesitate.
They rushed at Shane, who roared, "Die!" and moved so fast he took down several of them in a blur.
"Huh? Inner Realm?" Travis muttered, catching a subtle surge of Inner Strength from Shane.
It was faint, but he picked up on it right away.
"So this is what Master meant by martial artists?"
He stroked his chin, watching Shane's fancy footwork with interest.
He'd learned that martial arts cultivation has three realms: the External Realm, the Inner Realm, and the Transforming Realm.
Each realm had four stages: beginner, intermediate, advanced, and peak.
The Transforming Realm was the top. Martial artists who reached this realm were Grandmasters.
They were invincible, able to unleash power that could withstand modern weapons. Their cultivation was similar to that of a Foundation Realm cultivator.
Who would've thought Travis would run into an Inner Realm martial artist?
As Travis watched, Shane had already defeated most Special Security Bureau members.
Kenneth ordered them to retreat and leaped toward Shane.
Kenneth balled his fist and threw a punch, the air whistling as a blast of force shot from his knuckles.
"Another Inner Realm martial artist!" Travis noted, but quickly shook his head.
"Though both are Inner Realm, Shane seems stronger. Kenneth might not stand a chance."
As Kenneth's punch approached, Shane peculiarly twisted his body, evading the attack.
"Hmm?" Kenneth hadn't expected Shane to dodge, and quickly adjusted his stance to continue his assault.
"You're courting death!" Shane dropped to one knee, eyes cold as ice.
Flipping his blade into a reverse grip, he slashed at Kenneth several times.
Kenneth, alarmed, switched to defense.
"Die!" Shane was relentless, stepping on a stone to leap into the air, blade poised to strike Kenneth.
Kenneth immediately unleashed a kick, but Shane slapped away Kenneth's leg and slashed it.
Kenneth's leg had a massive wound.
He stumbled in pain.
"Solvenzia's martial artists are weak!" Shane sneered.
He then appeared before Kenneth and aimed to stab Kenneth's heart.
Kenneth's face went pale.
Behind him, the other agents shouted in panic, "Boss!"
Just when all hope seemed lost, a figure appeared before Kenneth.
The figure flicked his wrist, and Shane flew back dozens of meters.
He hit the ground hard and convulsed a couple of times. "You..."
But before he could finish, his head lolled to the side, and no one could tell if he was alive or dead.
