Oliver had been learning ancient martial arts from his mentor since childhood.
According to his mentor, he was the third-generation successor of the Azure Dragon Sect, and Oliver was the fourth.
Oliver didn't know much about where the Azure Dragon Sect came from, but he'd been practicing the Azure Dragon Art since he was little.
It was the main technique of the Azure Dragon Sect, which absorbed spiritual energy and turned it into Azure Dragon Energy.
The technique had nine levels. Rumor had it that if you reached the ninth, you'd be immune to water and fire, bullets and bombs couldn't hurt you, and you could even fly.
Because of the Burning Dragon Physique, Oliver only made it to the third level, but even then, the Azure Dragon Energy shielding his body was something Annie couldn't break through.
She couldn't even leave a scratch.
"How is this possible?!" Annie gritted her teeth and threw everything she had into her punch, but it wouldn't budge an inch.
She couldn't believe it.
Oliver had to be using some trick she didn't know about.
"I don't believe it!" she declared, brimming with determination.
She sprang forward, aiming a kick at Oliver's stomach.
At that moment, a voice came from behind, "Annie, stop!"
A middle-aged man stepped out of the Porsche, clutching his chest. He looked pale and frail, like he'd fall over if a breeze hit him.
Annie gasped, "Dad, what are you doing out here?"
The middle-aged man, face stern, said, "Annie, how many times have I told you not to use force recklessly? Why don't you ever listen?"
"No, Dad, it's this guy. He's way out of line, so I..." Annie tried to explain.
"Silence!" the man commanded. Annie bit her lip and stayed quiet, feeling frustrated.
The man then turned to Oliver and said, "I'm sorry, young man. It's my fault for not teaching my daughter better. I apologize for her."
"Dad, he's just some country hick. Why even bother apologizing to him?" Annie retorted, clearly displeased.
"Enough, let's not say more. We should leave," Jayden Davis said, turning to leave.
"Wait a moment," Oliver suddenly spoke.
Annie's expression darkened, "We're letting you off the hook, and you're still not happy? What, you want us to pay you or something?"
She thought Oliver was taking advantage of her father's kindness, a behavior she had seen many times.
"Your dad won't make it three days," Oliver said flatly.
"What did you say?" Annie was instantly furious, her face filled with anger.
Jayden's face also turned solemn.
"Young man, don't push your luck. I know I'm seriously ill, but the doctor said I've got liver failure. At the very least, I've got another month left. Saying I have only three days is absurd."
He was upset. Anyone would be enraged hearing someone curse them to live only three days.
Oliver didn't say anything else.
He just reached out and touched Jayden's forehead.
Instantly, Jayden's whole body went stiff, his eyes glazed over, and he was in a daze.
Seeing this, Annie's face changed dramatically.
She shouted, "Hey, hick! What are you doing to my dad!" She raised her hand, ready to strike Oliver.
"Annie, stop!" Jayden immediately spoke, seemingly regaining his senses.
His complexion had changed, gaining some color, and he no longer looked as frail.
"But Dad, he..." Annie was confused.
Jayden said seriously, "This young man just saved me. I already feel a lot better."
Annie was skeptical.
Jayden looked at Oliver and said, "Thank you, young man. May I know your name?"
"I'm Oliver Morris."
Oliver had helped Jayden because he thought Jayden was a good person.
If it were someone else, he wouldn't have bothered, let alone intervened.
"But don't get too happy too soon. You've got toxic fire attacking your heart. To completely cure it, you'll need some medicinal ingredients. If I get the chance later, I can help you get rid of it for good," Oliver continued.
Jayden was overjoyed, immediately instructing Annie to jot down the ingredients.
Oliver mentioned and exchanged contact information.
He threw in a few extra ingredients for his use.
"Annie, bring the two bottles of wine from the car trunk," Jayden instructed.
Annie was shocked, "Dad, that's Johnny Walker Blue Label! That stuff's crazy expensive!"
"Just do as I say!" Jayden's tone was firm.
Annie, still unhappy, grabbed the two bottles of Johnny Walker Blue Label from the trunk and handed them to Oliver, clearly reluctant.
Each bottle of Johnny Walker Blue Label went for $30,000. They were a rare find that Jayden had pulled a lot of strings to get.
He had planned to give them to the famous doctor, but now they were going to Oliver instead, which ticked Annie off.
Oliver didn't hesitate to accept. He figured he could bring them as a gift when he visited James Watson.
Without further ado, Oliver left.
After he was gone, Annie immediately turned to Jayden.
"Dad, what if this guy takes the wine and runs off?" Annie complained.
Jayden said, "I doubt it."
"Of course he will! Just look at him, a country hick. After all, each bottle of Johnny Walker Blue Label is worth $30,000!" Annie argued.
Jayden shook his head. "I trust my gut. I don't think I'm wrong about him."
Annie let out a sigh.
…
Oliver headed to a nearby diner and ordered eight dishes plus three big bowls of rice.
He tore through the food in no time, leaving the owner and other customers staring in disbelief.
Normally, Oliver couldn't eat this much, but ever since he hooked up with Rosalie Watson, he'd been starving.
Soon, Oliver checked his energy core, which had expanded, and the Azure Dragon Art seemed to be on the verge of reaching the fourth level.
Since Rosalie was a Floral Woman, sleeping with her had activated the Azure Dragon Art.
A few more times and Oliver would break through to the fourth level.
Too bad, in a city as big as Jamora, with millions of people, the odds of running into Rosalia again were pretty much zero.
He couldn't stop thinking about their first time together.
Just then, Oliver's phone rang. He saw it was James Watson calling and picked up.
After a brief conversation, he paid the bill and left the diner, spotting a car and a middle-aged man outside.
"Mr. James!" Oliver called out as he walked up.
