Taking a deep breath, Lana Hayde sent a message to Paola, then tossed the magnetic keycard for the door down the stairwell so Paola and her people could get upstairs. Once that was done, she steeled herself, went to the door, and peeled off the strip of black paper covering the peephole to look outside. Not the burly brute she'd pictured.
