The first months of starting a business were nothing like I had imagined. The cold bit to the bone. Just building the pigpens took me a full month. By the end of it, I'd gotten tan and dropped a lot of weight, and my days narrowed to work and quick meals. I forced myself to think of nothing but the farm. Yet when the night grew still, I tossed and turned until dawn.
