At first light, bright sun poured through the floor-to-ceiling windows, illuminating the sharp planes of Nixon Walker's face. He blinked himself awake.
He gazed at the high, clear blue sky, then at the woman sleeping in his arms. The corners of his mouth lifted, a hint of contentment in his smile.
Bathed in sunlight, Marie looked like a porcelain doll. Her lashes were thick and long, her features fine and sculpted, her small, delicate face framed by that fall of black hair that caught the eye.
