A black sedan wound its way along the narrow, winding mountain road. Every so often, a small white wad of tissue fluttered out the window. If you listened closely, you could hear muffled sobs.
Liliana clutched a box of tissues. Her makeup was a mess, yet she still tried to keep her chin up. One by one, she balled up tear- and snot-soaked tissues and flicked them into the cold air.
"You tell me, wasn't I doing all this for him? How can he treat me like that?"
