"I promise you. But only if Hugh really can't father a child." Leonard Zimmerman held Daisy Warth close, his breath warming her ear. "Thank you. So what are we, then?" Daisy murmured, soaking in his warmth. She had come for treatment and somehow ended up in his arms. "You are my kindred spirit," Leonard said after a pause, choosing the gentlest word he could. He couldn't very well call them friends with benefits; that didn't fit. A kept man? An affair? Such grubby labels didn't belong on them....
