"Caspian, be careful. Don't end up starting a fire."
Melissa watched the flames surge in the cauldron, set the camera back in place, then slipped into her room to grab a fire extinguisher and kept it within arm's reach.
Meanwhile, her usually quiet stream suddenly blew up.
[Whoa, this magic trick is kind of wild!]
[Could Melissa's brother actually be an alchemist?]
[He's just a nerd.]
[Melissa, about that pill I asked about earlier...]
[Little Gang sent a Super Rocket Gift!]
Melissa's stream never had that much viewers.
Fans often sent small gifts, but a rocket gift was rare. She hurried back to her seat and thanked the patron with a bright grin.
[Why did you move the camera? I want to watch your brother refine pills, haha!]
[Does your brother pretend he's some hero? Does he imagine himself flying around on a sword?]
[Melissa, your brother's adorable. I want to see if he actually made a pill.]
Seeing the sudden flood of live comments, Melissa felt a little out of her depth.
She was used to quiet.
With things lively all at once, she couldn't keep up.
In the end, she picked a few she could answer.
"To the friend asking about the pill, my brother said not to bother him while he's refining. I'll ask him after he's finished."
No sooner had she spoken than there was a soft pop.
She turned. The flame inside the cauldron had vanished.
Caspian glanced at the single pill on the table, then walked toward her.
"It's done."
He glanced at her monitor. "You're streaming again?"
"Yeah." It was her job, after all.
"So they can see us right now?"
When Caspian had died, live-streaming hadn't been a thing.
After ten thousand years away, flashy modern things hardly existed in his mind.
"Right, they can see us."
[Wow, up close like this, Melissa's brother is seriously good-looking.]
[I've never seen a guy this handsome in my life!]
[Is your brother a pro cosplayer? I swear he wasn't wearing that outfit last night.]
The moment Caspian saw someone mention his supreme armor, his eyes lit up.
"I already put that set of supreme armor away in my Storage Space."
[Supreme armor and a Storage Space? I think your brother's a nerd to the max!]
[Hahaha, can I get a set of supreme armor too?]
Caspian caught that comment and answered gravely, "You can. Trade me a villa in Pyralis."
Melissa seemed to love that place.
If she liked it, he needed to find a way to get it for her.
[No wonder it's supreme armor. It's worth a villa in Pyralis. I really underestimated the guy.]
Melissa felt a bit pissed at the teasing.
Caspian was her brother, after all.
"Enough, you guys. My brother finally made it home. Don't make fun of him."
[Sorry, Melissa. We didn't mean it. Your brother's just too entertaining. No bad intentions.]
[Melissa's Loyal Fan sent a Super Rocket Gift.]
[Sorry, Melissa, but we really want to watch your brother refine pills, haha!]
She still worried they might bully Caspian.
To her surprise, the live comments were all asking to watch him refine pills.
[Melissa, I'll send ten rocket gifts if you ask your brother for one pill.]
Melissa shook her head. "No. The pill doesn't have any certifications. What if something goes wrong?"
[It won't, it won't. I'll sign a waiver and take full responsibility!]
As soon as the fan said that, rocket icons streaked up on her screen.
[Steel-Dad sent Super Rocket Gift x10.]
"Thank you, Steel-Dad, for ten Super Rocket Gifts."
As a streamer with basic courtesy, Melissa hurried to thank the viewer.
After some persistent pleading, she finally agreed to ask for a pill.
[Thanks, Melissa. Ask your brother how much it is per pill. I won't shortchange you.]
Melissa gave a wry smile and nodded.
Those ten rocket gifts should have more than covered the price of a pill.
She came up beside Caspian.
"Could you give me the pill from yesterday? Someone in my stream wants one."
"That fever-reducing pill? Of course."
"And the price?"
"The pill doesn't cost any money. Just give it to him."
Caspian finished speaking and produced a pill identical to the one Melissa had taken yesterday, as if from nowhere.
Since the fan had already sent ten rockets, Melissa couldn't ask for cash.
She asked for an address and planned to mail the pill the next day.
She kept streaming.
Although the viewers were eager to watch Caspian refine pills, he had already packed the cauldron away.
Melissa booted up a game.
Sitting on the sofa, Caspian picked up a flyer from the table and studied it.
"Melissa, are the houses in Pyralis all priced like this?"
He happened to be holding a brochure for Jasperwood's priciest villas, Pyralis.
Melissa was playing the game.
"Don't bother. We can't afford anything there."
"I'm just looking."
Caspian had been away from this world far too long.
Ten thousand years. For him, not exactly short, not exactly long.
In that Storage Space, he had even bought property from others.
Prices ran in the tens of thousands of spirit stones.
Nobody had told him how much did a dozen millions equal to the numbers of spirit stones.
So he walked over to Melissa and asked, "Melissa, if you convert ten thousand spirit stones to today's money, roughly how much is that?"
The live comments boiled over again.
[Oh my god! He said spirit stones!]
[Bro, if spirit stones were real, a single one might go for thousands, maybe tens of thousands.]
Spirit stones were actually that valuable?
Caspian glanced into his Storage Space at the mountain of high-grade spirit stones, weighing whether to pull out a few to trade for a villa for his sister.
[Melissa, your brother's a hardcore cultivation fan. Is he going to face a tribulation next?]
