Chapter 29: Killed On The Spot

Damon grabbed Adriel by the throat and hauled him toward the trees. His pace quickened. In a couple of minutes, he had gone over a hundred yards. By then, he was deep in the woods. The grass was head-high. No one usually entered the woods. Damon spotted a small cave up ahead. He dragged Adriel straight inside. Only then did he ease his grip on Adriel's throat.
