"Mr. Lapwood, when will you let me come and go from the prison freely?" Stefan blurted out the question before even reaching the prison. Carlos waved him off. "Wait until we're inside. I have something to discuss with you." Stefan was anxious but could only hold his tongue. Back at the prison, Carlos ordered the guards to reapply the shackles and leg irons to Stefan.
