Layne Yoxall led Dante Easton and the other two out of the old tower and deeper into the grounds. The chatter behind them faded with every step. They crossed a long corridor built entirely of wood, its beams carved with intricate patterns. Sunlight filtered through the latticed windows and, now and then, fell across their shoulders. The farther in they went, the quieter it became. "Senior Hankins, may I ask your cultivation level?" Yoxall kept his tone respectful as he guided the group forward....
