In the hallway outside the ER, the red light above the door glowed as Miller Cutmore came down the hall. Blake Cutmore let out a breath as if she'd been holding it for hours. "How is he?" Miller asked, eyes fixed on the light. Blake shook her head. "They've been trying to save him for almost an hour. That man was terrifying. He bent a police baton like it was nothing. If Captain Scurr hadn't opened fire, Megan and I would've been taken. Go calm Megan down-she's really shaken up." Miller frowned....
