"What?"
The moment Kingsley Yale spoke, shock flashed across every face, from the elders of the nine branches to the current-generation sequences like Callahan Yale.
All of them, together?
Had Kingsley lost his mind?
He might have been the Yale family's First Sequence, but everyone knew he also benefited from his status as the main line's successor and the clan lord's legitimate son. No one questioned his talent, yet anyone who could be called a "sequence" was no weakling either.
Only Daniella Greaves remained indifferent, as if she had expected this.
She was the only one there who truly knew what Kingsley was hiding. He had not only awakened Double Pupils, he had also secretly dug out a Supreme Bone from a collateral member of the Yale family before the Divine Child Battle.
If Daniella's guess was right, the strange omen that had erupted in the Yale Family Territory that day had been triggered by Kingsley fusing that Supreme Bone.
Double Pupils. Supreme Bone.
Those two peerless gifts alone were enough for Kingsley to bulldoze his generation with an air of invincibility.
"Kingsley… what are you saying…?"
Drew Yale swallowed hard. Unease flickered in his eyes.
"The Yale family's Divine Son can only be me. You're only fit to look at my back as I walk away."
Kingsley's voice stayed calm. His white robes snapped with a cold edge, every inch of him radiating dominance.
A man only had three hobbies, didn't he?
First, showing off.
Second, beautiful women.
Third, showing off in front of beautiful women.
Besides, if he wanted the nine branches to acknowledge him, he had to do it the most direct, most brutal way possible. He had to crush the other eight sequences beneath his heel.
Loyalty in this world was beaten into place.
"Arrogant!"
Callahan Yale exchanged a glance with Owen Yale. The two strode forward and stopped right in front of Kingsley.
In the next instant, spirit patterns coiled around their bodies, their auras surging hotter and hotter.
But just as they gathered spiritual power and prepared their trump cards, Kingsley clenched both hands and smashed down in a straight, brutal arc.
"Rumble, rumble, rumble!"
A terrifying wave of force crashed down like a tidal wall.
The star that had just formed above Callahan's head exploded on the spot. He slammed into the ground, bones shattered throughout his body.
At the same time, Owen's expression twisted. He had barely started to step forward when divine patterns interwove in Kingsley's eyes, like two celestial vortex-wheels spinning with a low, ominous hum.
In the next instant, the entire space around Owen warped.
Time stagnated. A myriad of Dao seemed to grind away into nothing.
Kingsley's figure blurred like a ghost. A roaming dragon flickered beneath his feet, and with a single step he crossed the void, appearing directly above Owen.
"Gulp."
Owen's scalp went numb. His lips trembled as he whispered, "Divine Son… don't hit my face…"
"Pfft."
Kingsley brought his foot down and planted it squarely on Owen's face, kicking him flying hundreds of feet. Owen struggled for a moment, then went completely still.
"Kingsley!!"
Wilson Yale finally found his opening and appeared behind Kingsley.
Wilson's arm gleamed with dazzling golden light. Holy patterns spiraled around it, turning it into something like a sacred golden limb. He slammed his palm into Kingsley's back.
"Clang!"
The cruelty on Wilson's face froze, bit by bit.
A faint, misty starlight shimmered across Kingsley's white robe. Wilson's holy-bone might vanished in an instant, failing to leave even the slightest wound.
"This is what you're relying on? A single holy bone?"
Kingsley turned slowly. He seized Wilson's holy-bone arm in one hand, his expression unreadable.
True fear flashed through Wilson's eyes.
He had the sickening certainty that if Kingsley tightened his grip even a little, he could crush that holy bone and cripple him for good.
"Divine Son, I was wrong…"
"Crack."
Before Wilson even finished, a crisp sound of breaking bone rang out.
Kingsley crushed the entire arm, snapping it apart with raw force.
"AAAH!!"
Wilson's scream tore through the Yale Family Territory, chilling everyone who heard it.
"I like your attitude," Kingsley said evenly. "But mistakes have a price."
He tossed Wilson aside as if he were throwing away trash.
Then his gaze drifted to Thea Yale.
Under that stare, the proud daughter of the Yale family shuddered. Her legs tensed, as though she were fighting to hold something back.
With countless eyes on her, Thea drew a deep breath. Then she knelt with perfect, rigid respect.
"Divine Son. I carry the Ancient Phoenix Bloodline. I can take on a true phoenix form. If Divine Son is willing… you can ride me…"
The world fell dead silent.
Every elder and every clansman wore the same stunned expression, thick with disbelief.
In a single heartbeat, four sequences had fallen. Three were crippled, and one had knelt.
Kingsley's ruthless dominance did not kindle hatred in the elders. It ignited them.
Divine Son of the Yale family.
That title alone was destined to draw jealousy, challenges, and outright hostility. The Yale family had remained hidden for far too long. The nine branches had drifted apart, and across the Holy Dominion Land, many forces did not want to see a new Divine Son rise from the Yale family.
Without this kind of cruelty, the road of a Divine Son would be drenched in danger.
"He didn't even use the Supreme Bone…"
In the crowd, Daniella's brows knit slightly. The way she looked at Kingsley turned even more wary.
She suddenly realized that in this life, Kingsley was not only more calculating. He was stronger.
The only thing that had not changed was the savage, merciless core of him.
Hmph. A leopard never changed its spots.
"Hahahahaha! Damn, that's insane."
A booming laugh rolled out from deep within the Yale family.
A tall, thickset figure dropped from the sky like a meteor, smashing down in front of the main hall.
"Rumble, rumble, rumble!"
The bluestone plaza before the hall cracked apart under the impact.
Through the swirling dust strode a dark-skinned man built like a small mountain. His square, imposing face wore a wild, tyrannical grin.
"Kingsley Yale. I'm fighting you."
"Hm?"
Kingsley lifted a brow and gave a slow nod.
The Yale family's Fifth Sequence, Jones Yale, inheritor of the Heavenly Tyrant Body!!
It was said that Jones's physical combat strength was second only to the Yale family's Second Sequence. He had been ranked fifth only because his personality was too reckless.
"Kingsley, I know your Double Pupils are strong and you've got plenty of treasures," Jones said with a grin, arms folded. He paid no attention to the helpless looks from the surrounding elders. "But today, I'm only competing with you in raw physical strength. Otherwise, even if you beat me, I won't acknowledge your Divine Son status."
"Fine."
To the elders' surprise, Kingsley nodded and agreed to the outrageous demand.
Jones might not be the sharpest tool in the shed and he fought like a shameless thug, but his Heavenly Tyrant Body was recognized across the Three Thousand Wayrealms as the pinnacle of sheer strength.
More than that, he had already stepped into the Divine Wheel Realm, a full ten years earlier than Kingsley.
If Kingsley wanted to crush him with physical power alone, it would be difficult.
"Hahahahaha! Good! Kingsley, if you win today, I'll be your dog!"
"Shut your damn mouth and fight already."
In front of the hall, Jerry Yale, the elder of the fifth branch, slapped a hand to his forehead and roared in despair.
"Rumble, rumble, rumble!"
Jones snorted. He suddenly clenched both fists.
Above his head, a swath of sky seemed to collapse, and within it an ancient war-shadow strode across the heavens, towering over ten lands!!
