At Lydia Yare's beckoning, Lucian Lawes sat down beside her. After Lucian arrived, the table where the Yare Family Patriarch sat still managed to keep up a façade of harmony. This side, however, fell apart completely. Everyone just stared at one another, wide-eyed. Hardly anyone even lifted their chopsticks. The other table could obviously see what was happening, but they pretended not to. They kept drinking and laughing as if nothing was wrong. Lucian couldn't stand an atmosphere like this....
