"Rocky Cutmore?"
Liam Cutmore froze.
Wasn't that… him?
But she clearly didn't recognize him. Did she not know Liam Cutmore was Rocky Cutmore?
Liam lifted a brow. "Actually, I'm Rocky Cutmore."
"You're Rocky Cutmore?" Olivia Yale stared at him for a beat, then shook her head with a cold laugh.
"I thought you were honest, the straightforward type. I didn't expect you to be a petty creep with a rotten heart."
"Rocky Cutmore is Thalvor's number one expert, the White-Robed Divine Sword, unrivaled under heaven."
"Back at Vast Mound Riverhead, he cut down eighteen Elite Ninja from Kyorin with a single sword and dragged me out of the tiger's jaws."
"Sure, he wore an azure dragon mask then."
"But that towering figure of his is burned into my memory."
"Broad shoulders. Straight-backed. A presence like a mountain."
She swept her gaze over Liam from head to toe, disgust sharpening her eyes. "And you? You're skinny, your aura's all over the place, and you dare claim you're Rocky Cutmore?"
"I think you're just a scheming con artist. Get out."
She stabbed a finger toward the door and barked the order, revulsion plain on her face.
Liam didn't move. His brows drew together.
After he had mastered the Ninefold Dragon Emperor Art three years ago, he had often gone out on missions for his masters. To keep his identity sealed, he showed himself in an azure dragon mask.
At Vast Mound Riverhead, he really had killed eighteen Elite Ninja from Kyorin.
But there had been hostages everywhere that day. Most people hadn't even been able to tell who was who. Olivia must have been one of them, clinging to the image she'd seen.
As for his build… back then, he had been tall and imposing.
Over the past two years, the Vengeful Dragon Poison had worsened. It had chewed through his Essence Energy until he no longer looked like the same god of war.
"What, nothing to say?" Olivia's lips curled. "Did I expose you? Can't figure out how to lie your way out of it?"
She kept sneering when he stayed silent, as if she'd seen his kind a thousand times.
Men like him always wanted the same thing.
Liam let out a helpless breath. "I really am Rocky Cutmore."
Olivia laughed in anger. "Hmph. You really won't shed a tear until you see your coffin."
"Fine. Today, I'll make you 'understand' when you die."
She yanked open the nightstand, pulled out a marriage contract, and slapped it in front of him.
When Liam saw the three characters "Rocky Cutmore" on it, realization washed over his face.
No wonder she didn't recognize him. Third Master had never told her Rocky Cutmore's real name was Liam Cutmore.
"To be honest," Olivia said through clenched teeth, "I've already made a betrothal with Rocky Cutmore."
"If you're really Rocky Cutmore, then show me your marriage contract."
"Otherwise, I'll make you pay for this today."
Rocky Cutmore wasn't just her fiancé. He was the hero in her heart. She would never allow anyone to impersonate him, let alone smear him.
"I have the marriage contract." Liam tapped his forehead, annoyed at himself. What kind of idiot forgot the best proof he had?
He hurriedly rummaged through his bag. He searched and searched, but Olivia's marriage contract wasn't there.
Where was it?
Had Third Master forgotten to bring it?
Confused, Liam pulled out his phone, ready to call Third Master.
Instead, he saw a text Third Master had sent earlier.
"little diva, I'm really sorry, haha! Last time, Third Master accidentally used Olivia Yale's marriage contract as toilet paper."
"If Olivia Yale doesn't believe who you are, then think of a way."
"As for the rest of us… we need to go into seclusion for a while to cultivate the Harmonious Union Art."
"Proving your identity is on you."
"Oh, and Third Master already admitted his mistake, so you can't spank Third Master's butt anymore, okay!"
Liam finished reading and tightened his grip on the phone.
Using a marriage contract to wipe his ass… wasn't that scratchy?
And he thought he could get away without a beating?
He'd beat him half to death.
"Enough with the act," Olivia said, mistaking his silence for guilt. "For the sake of you saving me, I won't pursue this."
"But there won't be a next time. If there is, don't blame me for getting nasty."
She flicked a bank card at him. It smacked against him and dropped.
"Take the money and get lost."
Liam didn't bend to pick it up. "Something went wrong with the marriage contract, but I really am Rocky Cutmore."
"If you don't believe me, I can prove it."
No matter what, he couldn't leave.
And he had to sleep with Olivia within a month.
If the Vengeful Dragon Poison erupted, he would be dead. Simple as that.
"Prove it?" Olivia scoffed. "Your face is pale and your aura's floating. You look like the kind of trash who lives in women's beds."
"Someone like you isn't even worth a single hair on Rocky Cutmore's head. It's obvious you're fake. What's there to prove?"
Liam explained solemnly, "My body only ran into a temporary problem. My strength is still there."
"Name any condition. Tell me to do anything."
"If I do it, you'll let me sleep with you. How about it?"
It wasn't that he was shameless. It was that Olivia hadn't fallen for him at first sight.
If he wanted her body, he either had to win her over with time, or strike a deal.
But with only one month, he couldn't bet his life on her developing feelings.
So he chose the last option.
"Fine." Olivia waved a hand, already bored. "The Fierce Tiger Gang still owes me thirty million. If you can get it back for me, I'll agree to your condition."
"Deal." Liam nodded and turned to leave.
"Overestimating yourself," Olivia muttered, shaking her head.
The Fierce Tiger Gang was the First Gang of Northbank. They had thousands of followers and more than twenty martial artist in their ranks.
In all of Northbank, they were a top-tier power.
Even the Yale family had to give them face.
Liam had no chance of collecting that money.
He probably wouldn't even dare to step through the Fierce Tiger Gang's door to demand payment.
With that thought, Olivia couldn't be bothered to dwell on him. She took out her phone and made a call.
She and Liam were people from two different worlds.
And he was a glory-hound, daring to impersonate Rocky Cutmore just because he lusted after her.
Letting him suffer a little at the Fierce Tiger Gang's hands would do him good. Maybe it would kill whatever filthy hope he still had.
The call connected. A low female voice came through the line.
"President, what are your orders?"
Olivia's gaze turned icy. "Birdie, check who Misty Yale has been spending time with lately."
"The Essence-Devouring Worm is the Sacred Worm of Veyra Marches. With her abilities, she couldn't have gotten it on her own."
"I want to know exactly who gave her the Essence-Devouring Worm."
