He didn’t just mark me. He marked my sister too.
The night before our mating ceremony, my Alpha broke every vow the moon ever blessed.
Now we’re bound by two marks — one born of love, the other of betrayal.
When I walked away, he thought he’d destroyed me.
But the mark that should’ve killed me awakened something ancient instead — the power of the Silvermoon witches.
Now, he’s the king on his knees, begging for forgiveness under the moon he once ruled.
And I must decide: will I save him... or finish what fate started?
...
An hour before my mating ceremony with Alpha Lucien, I walked in on him in bed with my sister.
Low, breathy moans came from the room—my sister's voice.
"Lucien... please, deeper—"
That moment, my world collapsed.
I saw Bella lying back on silk sheets, her brown hair splayed out, my mark—his bite—branded on her pale throat.
And him—he was above her, his wolf eyes blazing with molten gold.
Every breath, every movement was fate betraying me in rhythm.
We'd been in love for five years, and he chose to sleep with my sister an hour before our mating ceremony!
He caught my scent.
He lifted his head, sweat sliding down the side of his neck, amber eyes locking onto mine.
No surprise. No guilt.
Only that signature Alpha calm—dangerous, commanding, the kind that made me want to drop to my knees on instinct.
"Seraphine," he said my name in that voice low enough to cut through air, "you shouldn't be here."
My throat tightened. In that moment, my body still remembered our fated bond, that heat rising from deep in my marrow, rolling through my blood like poison.
I'd believed it was love.
Now, I only felt humiliation.
"You're my mate," I said quietly. "But before our mating ceremony, you bit her?"
He slowly withdrew from her, muscle lines rippling in the moonlight like a wolf fresh from battle.
He walked toward me.
One step. Two steps.
Each one made me want to run, but I was frozen in place.
"I am King first, mate second," he said softly, fingers lifting my chin, forcing me to meet his gaze.
"The King must choose the Luna most beneficial to the pack."
"And what about me?" I asked hoarsely.
"You—" He leaned down, breath ghosting over my neck, warm enough to make me tremble. "Your mother was human, so you're just a weak half-breed, lower than even a common Omega. Your abilities can't make you a true Luna. You only belong to me."
His lips pressed against my throat.
The next instant, pain and pleasure twisted into lightning—he bit down.
The taste of blood exploded. My body burned, my wolf screamed inside me, calling his name.
And he carved a second mark into my veins.
"You're insane!" I gasped.
He licked the blood from my collarbone, a cruel smile playing at his lips.
I stumbled back, fingers trembling, my heartbeat syncing with his. This was the curse of the double mark.
Fate's chains coiled around us, tightening, snarling.
I could feel his pulse beating inside me, as if he'd stolen my heart and left me nothing but burning ash.
"You can't... you can't bind us both together," I panted. "This will destroy us—"
"No," he leaned in, lips nearly touching mine. "This will only make us better."
His teeth grazed my skin again.
For the first time, I realized destruction could be this gentle.
And in that moment, I knew—
I would bleed, but I would bite back.
"Then let's change this mating ceremony into a severance ceremony," I said with a cold smile.
"I, Seraphine Hale, reject you, Lucien Blackwood, as my mate."
