"What's wrong?"
Mrs. Ruskin looked at her in confusion.
Jocelyn frowned and analyzed.
"I just think it's a little strange that a man was supposed to be engaged to a woman, but it is so coincidental that the woman's family just have an accident before the engagement. Then the man immediately married another woman and inherited the property of his ex-fiancee's family. Isn't it too coincidental?"
Hearing the words, Mrs. Ruskin was startled, and she looked grim.
"Sister Ruskin." Jocelyn's voice made her regain her consciousness.
"Well?"
"I'm just saying it casually. Don't take it seriously. I just said that the cover of the magazine you showed me has a problem. The problem is that the model you chose is not right in itself..."
Jocelyn led the topic to a relaxing direction, but Mrs. Ruskin was still immersed in the previous speculation. her mind was chaotic and there was a terrible supposition emerging in her mind.
Perhaps the death of Joanne and the thing happened suddenly to Leonard family were not accidents at all?
A week later.
Father Morrison happily rushed back to Morrison family, bringing back what had been signed.
Regardless of whether Mrs. Ruskin considered her relationship with Jocelyn, depending on her social circle, getting along well with he for Jocelyn was a beneficial and harmless thing for the Morrison Group.
"Aren't you going to work in the Design Department? You can go to work at the beginning of next week."
"Thank you, Dad."
Jocelyn nodded happily and laughed sincerely. After all, she had been busy for half a month. Although it was not difficult to reconnect with Mrs. Ruskin in a new identity, it still took a lot of effort to make it quickly. Entering the Morrison Group was only the first step to start the plan.
After dinner, Father Morrison rarely stayed at home. Selena went back to her room early unusually. Seeing that Selena did not pick on them everywhere in the living room as usual, Julia and Nicola Morrison sneaked out to have a wonderful night life.
The house was quieter than it was usually.
Jocelyn took a bath, dried her hair and stood in front of the washstand. Her white hands covered her clavicle and she looked at herself in the mirror thoughtfully for a long time.
During this period of time, she had been busy about how to get into the Morrison Group, so that she had delayed to do one thing. That was at the beginning of the rebirth, memory of two lifetimes flooded into her brain. When she took much effort to come over, she promised to "Jocelyn".
She still remembered that when she woke up for the first time in prison, she looked at the strange and pale face in the mirror. She was in a panic and immediately surged into her mind all the most unforgettable memories of Jocelyn's life.
Jocelyn lost her mother at the age of 16, and her stepmother took a little girl to live in the house. At first, both her stepmother and her daughter were very kind to her. The lovely younger sister followed her like a butterfly all day, and she was very enthusiastic and always called her "sister".
Jocelyn, at the age of 16, who was innocent and ignorant of the world, accepted the stepmother and her daughter. She could imagine that after that, the mother exposed her real face. And her younger stepsister, who was superficially dissatisfied with her mother's eccentricity and blamed that she always protected Jocelyn, climbed into her boyfriend's bed after gaining her trust.
Those unbearable pictures pushed Jocelyn into the abyss of hell, and since then she had not been able to climb out until death.
None of Turner family was kind and nice.
After drying her hair, she climbed into bed and asked Arthur politely.
"I'm going back to my mother's family tomorrow. Would you like to come back with me?"
"I have no time."Arthur didn't even look at her. He closed his book and was ready to go to bed.
She had expected what he would answer.
In Jocelyn's memory, Arthur never accompanied her to return home, even three days after her marriage. Arthur was her nominal husband.
Because of this, Turner family abandoned Jocelyn like a lame duck. Even her biological father disliked her, so she could not rely on anyone at all.
Jocelyn used to be compliant. Even if all the Turner family maltreated her, she just kept silent. But now she was not the same as before. What Turner family owed Jocelyn, she had to take back for her.
After all, she occupied he body, and she had to help her reclaim the justice.
The next morning
Jocelyn dressed herself up well and let the driver send her back to her mother's house vigorously.
The Morrison family lived in the east of the city, and the Turner family lived in the west of the city. They were far away from each other. It was almost noon when they arrived at the Turner family. After sending the driver away, Jocelyn knocked at the door by herself.
"Young lady?"
The servant opened the door and saw her as if she saw a ghost, "You, why did you come back?"
"Shouldn't I come back?" Jocelyn looked indifferent.
Even a servant dared to ask such a question. How terrible was it in the past?
The servant was shocked by her eyes. At the moment, she said, "I don't mean that. Young lady, of course, you can come back whenever you want to."
As she spoke, a female voice came out from the room, "Naura, is Mr. Smith coming here?"
The servant, called Naura, looked stiff and did not know how to respond.
But Jocelyn went straight into the house and said aloud.
"Aunt Clara, I'm back."
The woman who was busy with cooking heard the voice and suddenly stopped. When she looked back at Jocelyn, she suddenly looked shocked and grim.
"Why are you back? Who sent you back?"
Her stepsister, Katherine Turner, who was chewing apples on the sofa, was surprised. She almost bounced up from the sofa and looked at Jocelyn like seeing a ghost.
"I have been released upon completion of a sentence."
Jocelyn stood generously in the middle of the living room and looked at them. She was not humble or exalted, "I have to go home and inform you that, so as not to worry my family."
"Jocelyn, do you become fool during the time in prison?" Katherine frowned and said impolitely.
"Don't you know there is no one who worries about you here? Having a daughter like you who have been put into prison, Turner is shameless."
Jocelyn raised her lips and sneered.
"It's not your turn to teach me a lesson. After staying in Turner family for several years, you really think you're the member of Turner family."
"What did you say?" Katherine looked very angry.
In Turner family, what she most hated was that others said that she was the daughter brought by Clara Browne, so that she even would like to change all the servants of Turner family, and in this way, others would think that she was the real daughter of Turner family.
"Do you dare to say that in front of Dad?" Thinking of her backing, Katherine became bold and straightforward again. "If Alex knows that you are such a mean woman, I'm afraid he will regret why he liked you at that time."
Jocelyn responded calmly with a sneer.
"He can give up marrying me because he slept with you overnight, and he can also give up marrying you because he slept with others in the future. What's the pleasure of that?"
"What do you want?" Mentioning this, Katherine became proud, "Do you still regret that you didn't sleep with Alex earlier? Do you think he can marry you after you sleep with him? Don't dream."
"What do you mean?" Jocelyn changed her face, and at the same time she glanced a familiar shadow from the corner of her eyes.
