After coming out of the study room, the adjutant at the door pushed Arthur back to the room.
"Chief, there's something I don't quite understand. I want to ask you."
"You say."
"Today, when the attacker who hides in the flower bed, you are still far away from the car. With your skill, even if you need to protect your wife, you won't be scratched by the glass, will you?"
A cold glow flashed in Arthur's eyes.
"There are some things I need to verify."
Since Jocelyn used to study medicine, it would not be difficult to verify. Learning medicine was a long process. If someone really disguised as Jocelyn, it could be easily found from this point.
"Then what did you verify?"
After the adjutant finished his speaking, Arthur looked confused and he frowned slightly.
Judging from bandaging his arm, she was really professional.
Nothing was verified.
But one thing today that made him more suspicious of Jocelyn's identity and background was that when she was attacked, she was too calm, so calm that he had to doubt her.
When Jocelyn returned to her room, she went to the small room where she had lived before.
She had finished what the original owner of the body had entrusted to her. The small box containing her mother's remains was carefully wrapped by her and placed in the drawer of the dresser, along with the necklace she had snatched from Monica.
In the dusk light, she recalled the accident this afternoon, and she felt a little anxious.
On the one hand, Morrison Family had so many enemies. It would be better that her identity as Mrs. Morrison was not used much outside. On the other hand, she found that Arthur had been suspicious of her identity, so that he ventured to visit Turner family to investigate her.
Although she knew very well that Arthur could not find any problems, she still felt uneasy. She always felt that in front of Arthur, a cunning fox, her many schemes would be easily seen through by him.
Before being thoroughly seen through, she had to find another way to settle down.
Jocelyn directly reported for duty to the design department of the Morrison Group on Monday.
Because she was the person who the leader had mentioned, the members in design department were very polite to her. They euphemistically asked for a long time and wanted to know her relationship with Morrison family.
When asked about this, Jocelyn smiled embarrassingly.
"It doesn't matter. I just asked my relative to help me see if there is any work I could do. I haven't expected that I can enter the Morrison Group. It seems that my cousin is really good."
The Secretary in the reception desk showed disdainful, and he didn't understand it even if he had thought about it for a long time. He just caught a point. It was only an insignificant relative. The leader hadn't ordered that they should treat her specially, so the secretary just thought Jocelyn was only an ordinary assistant. So it shouldn't matter.
"You'll follow the design team of Cathy later. I'll take you to the design team of Cathy later. They are designing the autumn and winter series jewelry recently. The atmosphere is a little bit... Pay attention to what you say and do."
"I know." Jocelyn nodded happily.
The main industry of the Morrison Group was not jewelry. At that time, Abner Morrison made his fortune in real estate and caught up with the good time of going to business. Later, the group expanded rapidly. Jewelry became the second largest industrial chain in the Morrison Group which could compare with its real estate. Now, Abner Morrison was facing a huge transformation crisis.
Jocelyn came here after she had prepared well. So far, the jewelry of the Morrison Group was still too vulgar to be endured. It was mainly made of gold with few patterns. The participation of designers was of little significance, and the age group was also inclined to the middle-aged people. Such market competitiveness was totally insufficient.
"That's your job."
The secretary took Jocelyn to her position and pointed to the busy woman at a large design table in the distance. "That's Cathy. When she's not busy, you'll say hello to her and she'll ask you to do whatever she want."
"Well, I see."
After the Secretary left, Jocelyn did not wander around like the new employees, and she didn't make friends everywhere. She just turned on her personal computer, connected to the printer, and typed out several jewelry concept maps that she smeared during this period, and then manually revised them.
The woman, known as Cathy, had been standing at the design table surrounded by men and women, all of whom seemed to be under her command, commenting on the design plan in the middle.
So Jocelyn didn't feel extremely hungry until it was noon. And finally she heard what someone said there.
"First of all, you go to dinner, then come back to discuss in the meeting after dinner."
All of a sudden, the people scattered and left like birds and beasts.
Jocelyn looked at the people on the work stations around her coming back one after another and asked her colleague directly opposite her, "Is it time for lunch break? Can we eat?"
The colleague was a young man in his early thirties. He sniffed at her and stared at her for a while. After seeing her work card, he smiled and said, "Are you a new assistant? No wonder you don't know the rules of our group."
"What's wrong?"
"Our group does not take a lunch break at noon. We can eat anything for lunch, but we can't leave the office in case Cathy has something to arrange. By the way, you are an assistant, and you can't leave."
"Why?"
Just finishing her speaking, not yet waiting for the young man's response, the door of design director's office was opened, and Cathy stood at the door, unhappily, "Where is the new assistant?"
Jocelyn was stunned and raised her hand, "It's me."
Cathy was reluctant to ask her name. She glanced at her coldly and ordered directly.
"Bring me a U-disk. I have a document here. All the pictures in it are color printed and then put on my desk in half an hour."
"OK." Jocelyn hurriedly grabbed the U-disk on the table and followed in.
The whole afternoon after that, she really understood what the colleague said that the assistant couldn't go, especially.
Cathy would give her all kinds of miscellaneous work anytime, anywhere, printing, changing water, making coffee, taking express delivery, filling the printer with color ink, and even putting on design samples to walk around in front of her.
"Not bad." Cathy's eyes were drawn back from Jocelyn's wrist, which was wearing a big gold chain. And she said seriously.
"It seems to be no problem with this sample at present, so be it. Adele. the copies over there will be revised again tomorrow according to my requests. If there is no problem, they can be finalized. Do anyone else have any comments?"
The people in the team looked at each other without saying a word.
Jocelyn took off her bracelet and looked at it. Seeing that nobody spoke, she couldn't help saying, "When I came here, I heard that this design is a new product in autumn and winter?"
Cathy looked at the new assistant and said, "Yeah, what's the matter?"
"But this time, the sample seems to be no different from that of spring and summer."
As soon as Jocelyn said this, the atmosphere in the office suddenly nervous, and three or five colleagues almost looked at her with their sympathetic eyes.
