Theo Ye had dined with him, and they chatted until nine in the evening. Only after Theo took his medicine and rested did Noah Jiang leave the mansion.
He reminded Gracie Chen not to forget to fetch medicine for his grandfather the next day, then rode his small electric scooter back to the scenic villa area.
However, at the entrance of the scenic villa, a BMW was parked on a bend in the road. Inside sat four tall and burly youths, among them was Freddie Ye.
"Honestly speaking, Freddie, isn't he just an ordinary kid? Do we all need to act together?"
"Exactly, when the kid appears, you guys don't have to do anything. I alone can handle him." A young man with dark skin, tall and sturdy with bulging muscles, proudly exclaimed.
The three of them, like Freddie Ye, were all fighters.
"Inviting you all might indeed be overestimating him, but I've noticed some changes in that kid lately. So, let's all make a move together, give him a good lesson, and vent my anger." Freddie Ye turned his head and instructed the youths in the co-pilot and back seats.
"Alright, after beating him up, let's go to the bar. Recently, I met a couple of chicks with fantastic figures." The three young men didn't mind. They got along well with Freddie, the rich second generation, and had done such things more than once or twice before.
Noah Jiang was riding his electric scooter, but it ran out of battery midway. So, he had to push it whilst walking back.
Freddie Ye spotted him from afar in the car and clapped his hands, exclaiming, "The kid's back, let's go."
"Get down, get down!"
The four immediately exited the car, and without a word, headed straight for Noah Jiang.
"Noah Jiang, you seem to have a really good relationship with your grandfather. Even better than me, his own grandson. You made me wait for so long!" Freddie Ye and his group blocked Noah's path, sneering at him.
Noah's eyebrows furrowed. Seeing Freddie and the others, he knew why they were here.
So, Noah didn't bother talking. He parked his scooter and started stretching, beckoning Freddie, "Come on, weren't you going to teach me a lesson? I also find you annoying. Let me teach you one."
"Interesting, he's actually taking the initiative," one of the young men observed with amusement.
"You guys don't interfere, let me handle this."
The dark-skinned youth stepped forward, flexed his hands, looked at the thin Noah Jiang, and smirked, "Kid, don't blame me. Blame Freddie for hiring us. Just let me land a few punches."
While speaking, he had already thrown a punch at Noah. It must be said that these Sanda fighters were much faster and stronger than ordinary people.
Unfortunately, the current Noah was not like the Noah of the past.
Noah simply raised his hand, and with his slender palm, grabbed the fist aimed at him, standing firm without budging.
"How... How is this possible?"
Upon seeing Noah easily grab the punch, Freddie and the others were in disbelief, as if they had seen a ghost.
"Ah!"
The next moment, the dark-skinned youth screamed. His fist was firmly grasped by Noah, and with a twist, the youth was brought to his knees. A swift kick from Noah sent him flying, and he crashed into the roadside, clutching his chest and howling in pain.
"What the..."
Watching the dark-skinned youth, known for his strength, easily dealt with by Noah, Freddie and the other two were in complete shock, unable to believe what had just transpired.
"Come on, let's get this over with. I need to go home, take a shower, and sleep." Noah smirked, beckoning Freddie with a provocative gesture.
"Bastard, let's all attack together."
Angry and grinding his teeth, Freddie couldn't comprehend why Noah had become so formidable. But he couldn't stand someone being even more arrogant than him. With a loud roar, Freddie and the other two youths rushed at Noah, in all readiness to fight.
Noah Jiang's eyes slightly squinted, the corner of his mouth raised in a cold smirk. Regarding Freddie Ye, this guy had bullied him quite a lot in the past. So now, it was time to teach him a lesson.
"Ah!"
Several screams echoed as two young men were thrown out, clutching their injured chests, wailing. They didn't even know how they were hit by Noah Jiang because it happened too fast.
Freddie Ye's face changed drastically. Watching his three brothers lying on the side screaming, but before he could react, Noah Jiang appeared in front of him like a ghost. With a clenched right fist, he ruthlessly punched Freddie Ye in the cheek.
A miserable scream followed as Freddie Ye spat out several bloodied teeth. They flew through the air, tracing an arc before landing on the ground. Immediately after, he too fell to the ground.
Noah approached, not giving him a chance to breathe. He kicked Freddie hard in the stomach, sending him flying several meters. Holding his aching belly, his face alternated between pale and red. Seeing Noah coming back, he quickly shouted, "Stop, stop, don't hit me anymore!"
"Apologize."
Noah looked at him, expressionless.
"Apologize? Apologize for what?"
Freddie's face turned red in frustration. Looking at Noah in front of him, anger surged in his heart. How could he apologize?
Without any courtesy, Noah kicked him again. Freddie, holding his stomach, knelt on the ground wailing.
Looking up at Noah's grim and fierce face, Freddie had never seen this side of him being so cruel and violent. The contrast was significant, filling his heart with both anger and fear, yet he dared not speak.
"Apologize!" Noah coldly commanded.
"I-"
"Ah!"
Freddie was kicked away once more. This time, he coughed up blood, curling up like a cooked shrimp, looking at Noah approaching with sheer fear. Without hesitation, he cried out, "I apologize, I apologize! Please, don't hit me anymore. I’m wrong, I’m sorry, alright? Cough, cough."
Seeing the young man finally yielding, Noah crouched down and, with a harmless smile, gently patted Freddie Ye's cheek. "If you had said that earlier, you wouldn't have had to suffer.
However, Freddie, rid yourself of any grudges. If you think of teaching me a lesson, you'll have to wait another hundred years. From now on, you better behave and don't think of causing me trouble. Otherwise, even your grandfather won't have any objections when I cripple you."
Looking at Noah's harmless appearance, Freddie felt a sense of malice and evil, causing a slight shiver in his heart.
He never expected that the usually weak and incapable Noah would suddenly become so terrifying. Was this the Noah he knew?
Noah stood up, glanced at Freddie and his group, and smiled. He then turned around and continued to push his electric bike towards the villa complex.
Although their cries were pitiful, Noah knew when to hold back.
After all, Freddie was a member of the Ye Family. If something severe happened to him due to the beating, it would be challenging to explain to the Ye Family. This time was just a lesson and a warning for Freddie. If he acted recklessly in the future, the punishment would be much more severe.
"Bastard, I'll make you regret this."
Watching Noah's retreating figure, Freddie pounded the ground with anger, his eyes growing colder and darker.
Noah opened the door to his villa and plugged in his electric bike to charge. He realized that the living room was empty and there was no sign of Cindy's return.
Preparing to go upstairs, he heard cheerful shouts from his father-in-law's room. This made Noah pause in his steps, shaking his head with a smile, before heading to his room to get his sleeping clothes and take a bath.
After finishing his bath, he saw his father-in-law, dressed in pajamas, descending the stairs looking refreshed. Upon seeing Noah, he joyfully exclaimed, "Noah, you're back!"
"Yes, Dad."
Seeing his father-in-law's rosy and vibrant appearance, he nodded with a smile and cheekily inquired, "How was it in the bedroom?"
Taken aback by such a direct question from his son-in-law, Leo Zhang's face turned red, but he was delighted. "Very good, very good. Ever since I started taking the tonic soup you prescribed, I feel like I've become ten years younger. Even your mother praised me."
