"What? Are you looking to settle a score with me?"
Avery smiled slightly at Maxwell and deliberately puffed out her chest proudly.
This woman had a charming face, a sexy figure, and a tight skirt that outlined her body curve.
Maxwell shook his head secretly. He looked so good-natured, but he had the heart of a snake. He sneered. "Aren't you afraid of going to tongue-pulling hell when you confuse right and wrong like this?"
Avery deliberately patted her chest. "I'm so scared! What's wrong? Huh! Who told you to leave like that yesterday? You didn't even look in the mirror. How are you better than my cousin? Let me tell you. Leave Abigail as soon as possible and go back to your village! This is not the place you should come."
"Yeah, there are people like you everywhere. It's really not a place for serious people." Maxwell shook his head disdainfully, walked around Avery, and continued downstairs.
Avery was annoyed by Maxwell's gaze, and she stamped her foot. "Stop! What do you mean?"
At this time, Abigail happened to come over. Seeing Avery's expression, she asked, "Avery? What's wrong?"
Avery pointed at Maxwell. "This country bumpkin scolded me! He must be hating me because I just exposed his lies!"
Abigail stared at Maxwell with a cold face.
"Even if Grandpa supports you, don't be too presumptuous!"
"Avery is my good friend. If you dare to bully her, I will never end it with you!"
"Today…"
Maxwell glanced at Abigail like a fool, shook his head, and turned to go downstairs.
"Stop!" Abigail was also irritated by his gaze and said loudly, "I will personally prove this to Grandpa today and let him know what kind of person you are!"
Maxwell just pretended not to hear and continued walking out.
When he arrived at the door, Jaxon asked with a mocking look on his face, "Maxwell, it's almost time to eat, don't leave... I still want to have a drink with you."
Sophia also asked, "Maxwell, what are you doing? You didn't come back all night last night, and now you have to go out again. What do you think the Jerome family is?"
Maxwell said calmly, "There's a dinner. I may be able to resolve Abigail's loan issue."
"Humph, that's not a small tone! Solve the loan?" Peter sneered. "Which big shot are you dining with?"
"Chief Harrison."
"Chief Harrison?" Peter laughed, his laughter full of disdain. "Maxwell, Maxwell! You are so funny! This is not the way to brag! What qualifications do you have for a wild boy from the countryside? Chief Harrison is looking at you? Dining with you? Humph, that’s simply ridiculous!”
Avery covered her mouth and laughed. "You're a country bumpkin who has a lot of face, but you can't keep up your face by talking big! If you can really have dinner with Chief Harrison, I'll stand on your head and wash your hair to show you!"
"Actually, Maxwell is quite good..." Jaxon said with a smile, "At least he has some understanding of our Delington's affairs. He must know that there is Chief Harrison."
"That's right!" Sophia echoed, "Maxwell, then go have a big dinner with Chief Harrison, and send us a message when you have time... Oops, does your phone have a camera function?”
What a bunch of idiots!
Maxwell turned around and went out, too lazy to take another look at these people.
…
The dinner was set up at the Eastwind Grand Hotel, a place with a strong official background and almost the hotel designated by the chief executive of Delington.
The hotel had some history. Although it was luxurious inside, it looked a bit quaint on the outside. The hotel was decorated with garden views such as small bridges and flowing water, which was very stylish.
Walking outside the hotel lobby, Maxwell couldn't help but notice a person.
This man was really too eye-catching. His head was wrapped in several layers of gauze, and he looked a bit funny with his suit and leather shoes. This man was none other than Justin.
Thinking of Abigail's loan, Maxwell walked over and said, "Justin, when will the things you promised yesterday be done?"
Justin was stunned. When he saw Maxwell, new and old hatreds surged into his heart. "It's you, you bastard!"
He immediately wanted to rush up and beat Maxwell, but thinking of Maxwell's toughness yesterday, he suppressed the impulse and said through gritted teeth, "How dare you find this place? Do you know where this place is? "
"Here? Eastwind Grand Hotel, I'll come to eat!"
"You?" Justin said disdainfully, "Come here to eat? What a joke! What qualifications do you have to come here to eat?"
"Is it unusual to come here to eat? Isn't the hotel just for people to come to eat?"
"Okay!" Justin waved his hand. "I have something urgent today! Don't follow me! Get out of here! Don't even think about making trouble here!"
Maxwell frowned. "You must have eaten poop this morning, you talk so stinkily!"
"You!" Justin pointed at Maxwell's nose and shouted, "Security, where is the security? Who let this person in? Get this rustic guy out quickly! This is the Eastwind Grand Hotel, not everyone can come in!”
A security guard trotted over, recognized Justin, and quickly saluted respectfully, "Hello, Mr. Martell, what happened?"
"This guy is following me sneakily!" Justin said angrily, "How do you work? Look at this guy, does he look like a serious person? Get rid of him quickly and don't affect other customers."
The security guard looked at Maxwell and saw that his clothes were rustic, with no gold chains or expensive watches around his neck and wrists, so he believed Justin's words.
"Sir, this is a high-end place, please leave here."
Maxwell frowned. "What a snobbery!"
The security guard sneered. This sentence was enough to confirm the identity of the country bumpkin in front of him. He became more forceful and said with contempt on his face, "I'll give you three seconds to leave here immediately!"
"A dog relies on human power! Get out of the way and don't block the road!"
Maxwell was a little annoyed and walked straight inside.
"Stop!"
The security guard immediately reached out to grab Maxwell's collar, intending to drag him out.
How could Maxwell be caught by him? He waved his hand and slapped the security guard's hand like a fly. The back of his hand immediately became red and swollen, as if it had been burned.
The security guard screamed in pain.
"Ah! How dare you hit someone?"
"Help!"
"Someone is causing trouble! Get him out of here!"
…
Before the voice fell, seven or eight strong men in security uniforms surrounded Maxwell. The leading captain pointed at Maxwell. "Boy, you are so courageous. How dare you make trouble here? Beat him out, and then send him to jail for two years!"
Looking at this scene, Justi showed a proud smile.
You brat dared to hit me, let's see how I dealt with you!
After you entered the cell, I wouldn't let you go!
He was proud and retreated.
Suddenly, he tripped and fell flat on the ground, almost breaking his tailbone.
"What a fool! What bastard tripped me up? You don't want to live anymore?"
After he finished cursing, he raised his head and saw a tall middle-aged man standing next to him. There were footprints on this middle-aged man's leather shoes. When he saw the man's face clearly, Justin's expression changed drastically.
Without thinking, he raised his arms and slapped himself twice in the mouth.
