chapter 12 bar

After exchanging pleasantries, Tyler Luo said his goodbyes.
Stepping out of the commercial building, the evening lights were just beginning to glow.
Tyler Luo gazed at the bustling streets, filled with streams of cars and throngs of people, feeling somewhat dazed. Over the years, he had never truly immersed himself in the lifestyle of a modern metropolis like this. Though it had only been a few days, he felt somewhat out of place.
Now, Tyler Luo really wanted to experience it all. Here, he was no longer the cold-faced assassin, but just an ordinary citizen.
The nightlife of such a bustling metropolis seemed to be just starting. Instead of immediately returning to his newly rented place, Tyler Luo wandered the streets, filled his stomach at a snack bar, and loitered around the roadside until he stopped in front of a bar.
"It's been a while since I've been to a bar," Tyler Luo muttered softly to himself and walked in.
The public safety in Fenghuang City was excellent, but that didn't mean there were no illegal activities. Places like bars, teeming with mixed crowds, were rife with dark transactions. Such activities were hard to completely eradicate, so as long as things didn't go too far, they were generally tolerated.
From the outside, the bar looked grand, but it was even more luxurious inside. It could be described as a paradise on earth.
People of all sorts danced and partied, singing and drinking heartily. Tall, attractive women, dressed in revealing and sexy attire, weaved through the crowd.
Occasionally, men would brazenly touch these women, eliciting nothing more than a coquettish response from them.
Observing this scene, Tyler Luo smiled wryly. In his memory, bars were always like this, weren't they? This was why many enjoyed the nightlife, unrestrained, especially under the influence of alcohol, where one could temporarily escape. Of course, once sober, whatever happened had to be faced.
Tyler Luo took a seat at the bar and ordered a cocktail. He took a light sip, his eyes still scanning his surroundings. This was a subconscious defensive habit that had become second nature over the years.
"Hey, handsome, buy me a drink?" Among the many customers at the bar, Tyler Luo stood out. Though not the tallest, his movements and demeanor were the most elegant.
Seeing the woman approaching in a slit dress, Tyler Luo smiled wryly, "Sorry, I have an appointment, can't drink much." The woman's figure was impressive, especially her legs, revealed by the high slit of her dress. But Tyler Luo was only ever interested in physical gratification with such women, rarely crossing any boundaries.
He didn't look down on such women; he simply wasn't interested.
Faced with Tyler Luo's rejection, the woman smiled ruefully, looked at him a bit longer, and then turned to leave. The night was still young, and there were more opportunities ahead.
This was an unspoken rule of nightlife. Both men and women could easily get caught up in it, enjoying it, but men were often more easily attracted.
Within half an hour, Tyler Luo had already turned down three women's invitations, causing some envy among others nearby. But what could their envy do?
He relished the feeling of them being annoyed yet unable to do anything about it!
To those envious glances, Tyler Luo just grinned, the expression on his face one of smug satisfaction. But the next moment, his smile froze.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a group of people entering.
There were about ten of them, and many bar girls immediately went to greet them, a sign they were no ordinary customers. When Tyler Luo saw the man leading them, a cold smile appeared on his face,"You chose not to take the safe path to heaven but to barge through the gates of hell. Kevin Luo, Kevin Luo, I was planning to let you off for now, but you delivered yourself to my doorstep."
Indeed, the group was led by Kevin Luo, a scion of rich families. They often came to such places for fun. As scions like Kevin Luo, few dared to offend them, especially Kevin Luo, a young master of the Luo Family, who might even compete for the position of Family Master in the future!
Who in Fenghuang City would dare to offend him?
Of course, Tyler Luo was an exception.
"Young Master Luo, why are you so late today?" As Kevin Luo and his group entered, a heavily made-up woman came up to him, leaning against him like a little bird. Kevin Luo seemed accustomed to such attention, casually wrapping his arm around the woman's waist, his hand conveniently landing on her buttocks.
"Ouch, Young Master Luo, you're so naughty, just arrived and already up to mischief. Do you want to play here in the main hall tonight or go to the VIP room?"
The woman was obviously an experienced madam. Despite her heavy makeup, she appeared to be in her mid-thirties.
Kevin Luo's face was dark, "Let's go to the VIP room, and bring more women tonight."
"Alright!" The madam was adept at reading people's moods. From Kevin Luo's expression and tone, she sensed something was off. It was better to play it safe.
As Kevin Luo and his group were escorted to the upstairs VIP room, a playful smile appeared on Tyler Luo's face at the bar.
"Luo Da Shao, come, let's drink to our heart's content tonight!" As they entered the VIP room, before the waiters could open the bottles, one of the men eagerly handed a bottle to Kevin Luo.
Kevin Luo was indeed furious that day. He, the Young Master of the Luo Family, had been beaten by some unknown guy. Not only that, but when he tried to get the hotel manager of his family's hotel punished for stopping him, his grandfather seemed to have intervened and put a stop to it!
This only added fuel to Kevin Luo's anger.
That damned fool, if I see him again, I'll make him beg for death, he thought. In fact, he had already started looking, with the local police on the lookout. They would notify him immediately upon finding anything.
"Brother Kevin, don't be angry, that guy won't be able to jump around for long. Once we find him, we'll definitely take care of him," said one sycophantic man, raising his glass.
"Yes, Brother Kevin is the future successor of the Luo Family. How can a mere jester make you angry!"
These guys were experts at flattery, usually bullying and bossing around others by leveraging Kevin Luo's influence. They had done their fair share of bad deeds. Naturally, they were now trying their best to cheer up their master.
With alcohol flowing, they talked even more. Why do you think ancient emperors had so many treacherous ministers? People always like to hear good things. Like Kevin Luo, he enjoyed being flattered and feeling superior.
At that moment, the door opened. A man dressed as a waiter, pushing a cart of drinks, entered. The cart was laden with alcohol, including expensive imported liquors.
"Your drinks, Young Master Luo."
"Put it down. Can't you see I'm busy? Stupid fool."
Kevin Luo's mood was already sour, and now he was annoyed by this clumsy waiter, who he felt like killing.
But the waiter seemed unphased by Kevin Luo's tone and calmly placed the drinks on the table, his eyes flashing coldly as he looked at the oblivious men.
If Elizabeth Zhuang and others were here, they would recognize that this waiter was none other than Tyler Luo!
