chapter 6 You are also worthy of being called a Heavenly Master

Darcy had been a cop for twenty years and had never heard anything as mystical as this.
Yet, Martin had gotten everything right.
He even knew about the birthmark on his buttocks.
To think, even his partner of over a decade didn't know this secret!
Darcy's expression was quite peculiar, feeling utterly exposed and vulnerable in front of Martin.
Jennifer and the others were utterly confused, unable to catch what the two were talking about.
"What else have you deduced?"
Darcy asked with alternating shades of red and green on his face.
"In Captain Darcy's eyes, there are bloodshot veins, and he has a few white hairs at the temples. These are signs of overwork. Last night, Captain Darcy surely didn't sleep well. However, since Ryan has been brought to justice, and there haven't been any major cases recently, I deduced that someone in Captain Darcy's family should be seriously ill."
Upon hearing this, Darcy almost lost control, now thoroughly convinced by Martin.
Struggling to maintain composure, he coughed, "Stop talking nonsense! Your fortune-telling tricks can't be considered evidence! Even if I believe you, a judge won't!"
"Alright, let me bring out something substantial then."
Martin said, shaking his head lightly. "Captain Darcy, have you checked the surveillance footage of this villa?"
Darcy snorted, "Ryan is a habitual offender, a former soldier with some anti-surveillance capabilities. When he entered the villa, he tampered with the surrounding surveillance systems. We couldn't find any footage from that day!"
"If that's the case, what more is there to say?" Martin chuckled.
Darcy was taken aback, about to say something, but seemed to realize something and hastily ran out of the gate.
When he returned moments later, he had an epiphany.
People were curious.
"Captain Darcy, did you find out anything? Is this guy, perhaps, an accomplice of Ryan's?"
Jennifer frowned impatiently.
"I'm afraid you've misunderstood Mr. Jenkins."
Darcy rasped.
"What?"
Jennifer's teacup trembled in her hand, and she widened her eyes, "How can you be so sure?"
"He had no motive!"
"But he reported the crime in advance!"
"Regarding the police report, Mr. Jenkins has already explained."
Darcy pointed to the entrance surveillance, "I just went outside to observe. The surveillance wasn't malfunctioning; it had been deliberately cut! If Mr. Jenkins had entered from here on the day of his visit, he would have noticed the cut wires and then decided to report the incident!"
People were astonished, and their eyes unconsciously shifted toward the surveillance outside the main entrance.
Sure enough, the wires there had been intentionally severed.
Jennifer's face turned pale.
"It seems the misunderstanding is cleared up. Mr. Jenkins saw the cut surveillance wires, felt concerned, and chose to report, rather than being an accomplice of Ryan! Miss Willow, Mr. Jenkins saved you! It's best not to wrongly accuse a good person!"
Darcy glanced at Jennifer and gestured, "Pack up!"
The police left the villa.
Jennifer's small face darkened, her hand trembling as she held the teacup. Endless resentment surged within her.
Now, she had become someone who had wrongly accused a benefactor!
If this got out, how could she face anyone?
Darreb remained calm and glanced at Yves Xanders beside him. "Master Xanders, what's your take?"
"I understand a bit about these matters, but he's a bit arrogant, likes to show off, and isn't worth much!"
Yves casually adjusted the tea leaves under the tea lid.
"In that case, we'll have to trouble Master Xanders."
Darreb nodded slightly. "Kid, you've managed to slip through regarding Ryan's matter, but it's not over. You previously cursed my Willow Family with a great taboo. How do you plan to settle this account?"
Martin sneered, "A bunch of ungrateful wolves! If I hadn't reported, you would have fallen victim to Ryan's schemes long ago! Now you turn the tables and blame me?"
"Martin! Just because you fooled Captain Darcy doesn't mean you can deceive my Willow Family! Ryan must be in cahoots with you! I will find out the truth!"
Jennifer slammed the table, unable to contain her anger.
She was an extremely self-confident person, firm in her belief that her judgment was never wrong.
"Think what you want! I don't have the time to waste with you!"
Martin, disinterested in further discussion, turned to leave.
"Hold on!"
Yves gave Martin a sidelong glance. "Who said you could leave?"
Several Willow Family bodyguards directly blocked Martin's path.
Martin raised an eyebrow.
Yves set down his teacup, his face full of disdain. "You claim that Willow Family has a great taboo? I have observed it repeatedly and have never seen any significant taboo. Tell me, where is this great taboo in Willow Family?"
"Who are you?" Martin looked at him inquiringly.
"You're short-sighted and narrow-minded! This is Yves Xanders, the Master renowned in Yorksimvil! Your tricks won't embarrass Master Xanders!"
Jennifer scoffed repeatedly.
"Master?"
Martin sneered, "The eight Masters of the Land of the Red Dragon, I've never heard of anyone surnamed Xanders among them! You, qualify as a Master?"
Yves' expression changed slightly. "You know about the Eight Grand Masters?"
"Master Xanders, is there a problem?" Darreb furrowed his brow.
"He knows about the Eight Grand Masters; he might have some experience in our circle, perhaps some skills," Yves whispered. "But there's no need to worry. I can handle this young punk."
Yves took another sip. "Kid! Stop babbling useless things! You claim there's a great taboo! Where is it? I want to see if your mouth can justify it!"
"Despite your self-proclaimed Master title, you can't even see this?"
Martin shook his head with disdain.
Furious, Yves exclaimed, "If you can't say it, then it's nonsense!! Mr. Willow, he's deceiving your Willow Family, playing you for fools. Why bother being polite with them?"
"True! No need to waste time with this kind of person!"
Darreb had been waiting for this moment and seized the opportunity. He waved his hand, "Martin! You deceived my Willow Family! If this gets out, how can we stand in Yorksimvil? Considering your master's face, I'll only break your legs. Is that okay?"
The henchmen surrounding Martin closed in, each exuding a menacing aura.
"Darreb, aren't you afraid of divine retribution for repaying kindness with enmity?" Martin's eyes opened wide, and a glint of gold seemed to flash within them.
"Divine retribution? A load of crap! Even if there's divine retribution, it's not for you to decide!"
Darreb sneered.
But in the next moment...
Crash!
The chandelier above Darreb suddenly plummeted.
"Father, be careful!"
Jennifer exclaimed anxiously.
Darreb's face changed instantly. He urgently moved to the side, but it was too late. His head grazed the impact, blood flowing freely.
"Ouch."
He clutched his head, wincing in pain.
"Look, divine retribution has arrived, hasn't it?"
Martin smiled.
"You!" Darreb, enraged, trembled and pointed at Martin, shouting, "Hit him! Beat him to death!"
The henchmen rushed forward, but as soon as they approached Martin, each one suddenly stopped, clutching their stomachs, unable to stand straight.
"What are you doing? Why don't you hit him?"
Darreb was bewildered, shouting repeatedly.
"Boss, I... my stomach hurts."
"My stomach hurts too. Oh, I can't take it."
"Toilet, I... I need to go to the toilet!"
"I can't hold it any longer."
The group twisted their faces in agony, legs tightly closed. Then, they all rushed towards the bathroom.
Though the villa was spacious, there were only a few bathrooms. The people at the back had no place to relieve themselves. In desperation, they rushed out of the villa and, right there in the garden, pulled down their pants.
Soon, a series of crackling sounds echoed.
Darreb's face turned green.
Jennifer, her delicate eyebrows furrowed, felt nauseated and wanted to vomit.
"Martin! Did you do this?" She turned her head, shouting in anger.
"Why not say it's a problem with your Willow Family's food?"
Martin mocked.
Jennifer infuriated, turned her head and screamed, "Master Xanders!"
"Humph! Just some tricks! Watch how Master Xanders deals with him!"
Yves was also furious. He immediately took out a yellow paper figure, quickly drew on it with his fingers, and then waved it towards Martin.
Swoosh!
The yellow paper figure flew towards Martin, suddenly ignited, and disappeared. The smoke it transformed into clung to Martin.
"Now, your body is under my control! Your name is Martin, right? Listen, Martin! I command you to kneel before me!"
Yves bellowed, his voice thunderous, as if casting a spell.
However, Martin remained unmoved, completely unaffected.
Yves was stunned, immediately forming hand seals again. "In the name of God! Abracadabra! Martin! Kneel now!"
Yet, Martin remained calm, unaffected, causing Yves to feel a sudden chill in his heart.
