CHAPTER 13

"Beth, can you read me the address again? I think we're on the wrong street."

Beth reopened the crumpled sticky note that contained Sarah's address on it from last week. She looked out of her window and pointed to the light blue apartment building with two palm trees on each side of the gate.

"No I think this is it, 3454."

I spotted a parking spot a few spaces away, grateful I could find one so late at night. I parallel parked in the spot and turned off the car.
