Finding the place where the scream came from wasn't difficult. All we had to do was to stop talking and listen. We were careful to lighten our footsteps so that nobody would hear us as we approached. Brooke and I ended in the thicker part of the forest where the trees were bigger, the foothold more slippery, and basically everything was dangerous compared to the entrance.
