She walked out of the room, Risa walking behind her. She arrived in the living room, and they all stood up when they saw her. "Are you ready, Nyx?" Elena asked. She hesitated, and she looked at Lisa, who nodded at her. She looked at Elena, "Y, Your Majesty." She nodded. Elena smiled, "That's great." Demetrius signaled the rest, "Get the carriage ready!" They all trooped outside, leaving Elena, Oberon, and the rest in the living room. Elena smiled at Lisa, "Permit us to take Nyx with us." "Oh, your highness, you don't need to take our permission to take her, you can take her along with you." Lisa laughed. Andrew nodded, "Yes, Your Majesty, you can take her along with you, we don't mind." He smiled. "We don't need her anyway," Risa muttered. Nyx's eyes stung with tears; her family was so quick to marry her off. Did they hate her so much? She secretly wiped her eyes. Elena nodded. Oberon arched his brow, but er family didn't look like they were reluctant to let her go. He looked at Nyx, who wore a solemn expression. "Let's go then. We have their permission already." Oberon said and left the room. Elena nodded and looked at Nyx, "Come on, my dear, let's go." She took her ha, nd and together they left the room. Risa felt a bit, er, she stamped her right foot and walked angrily to her room. "Well, the pest is finally off our shoulders." She looked at the load of gifts greedily. "Look at all these gifts." She gushed out. Andrew smirked, "Well, this is the only time something good is coming out of her." They both laughed. • • • Elena held Nyx's hand and led her to the royal carriage that was outside waiting for them. Oberon was already seated in the carriage, waiting for them. They soon joined him, and the carriage began to move. There was no need to look back; this place itself hated her, so what was the need of keeping its memories? She tried so hard to keep her tears a secret, but Elena had noticed it. "What's the matter?" Nyx wiped her eyes, "It's nothin, Your Majesty, something entered my eyes and they got teary." She lied. "Oh, okay." Elena nodded. Oberon stared at her; he knew she was lying. Her eyes met his, and she looked away. When she opened her eyes, it was already close to evening. "Are we there yet?" She yawned. "You're awake." She heard Elena's voice. She stretched and sat up. "Where are we?" She looked around. "We're almost at the palace, dear, just a few yards more." She said. She looked around, but Oberon was not in the carriage. "Where has His Majesty gone to?" "He had to go deal with a few things," Elena replied. She sighed and closed her eyes; her head was hurting badly. "I'm hungry." She muttered. "When we get to the palace, we have them organize a big feast just for you." She blinked in surprise, a feast for her? She smiled and nodded slightly. Soon, they arrived at the palace, which had a big wall that enclosed it; it reminded Nyx of whenever she was being locked in an empty room. The gates were opened for them, and they went in. The carriage stopped and they alighted from it. "Welcome to the palace, my dear," Elena said with a wide smile. "Whoa." She looked at the gigantic building in front of her. It was very busy that evening as the preparations for the wedding were in place. "Come, let's go inside," Elena said. She nodded and followed her in. The room they first entered was very large with a lot of furniture in it. They walked through the numerous rooms till they got to the staircase that led to the rooms. Elena walked to a table and rang a small bell that was on it. A maid ran into the room. She bowed before Elena, "Yes, your Majesty?" "Take her to her room and make sure she's comfortable before leaving her alone. Do you hear me?" "Ye, Your Majesty." She nodded. Elena faced Nyx, "Later in the evening, we'll do a proper introduction, but for now, you need to rest." Nyx nodded. "My lad, you come with me." She told her. Nyx followed her till they came to a room. "Here is your to, my Lady." She bowed. "Uh.. you don't have to bow, do you?" She asked, feeling uncomfortable with the way the maid bowed. "I have to do so, my Lady, it's the Royal rule." She said. She shrugged and entered her room. It was large and very spacious. This was better than her old room in many ways. "Where is the bbathroomplease?" She asked the maid. "It's over there, my Lady, your bath has already been prepared." She replied. She nodded, "Thank you, you may leave. I'm fine now." She smiled. "Okay, my Lady." She nodded and left the room. She went into the bathroom and did her thing. She came out and dressed up. She left the room and walked back to the main room. She asked for directions to the garden and was directed to the garden. She got there and sat down obench nch, the moon was slowly coming out. She sighed and looked around. She felt out of place here. She held her and tried to think; her 'wedding ' was tomorrow, and she was barely prepared for it. The moon finally came out, but she didn't notice it was a full moon. A ray of the moonlight hit her, and there was a burst of white light. She transformed into a complete werewolf. She yipped and trotted out of the palace to an unknown destination. Later that evening, Elena assembled all the servants in the main room. "Someone should go get Nyx." She ordered. A maid ran to Nyx's room to get her. "By tomorrow, our future queen will become part of us..." "She's not in her room, Your Majesty." The maid announced. Elena was surprised, "What do you mean?" "She's not in her room. I couldn't find her anywhere." "She said she wanted to go to the garden." Someone said. "Okay, someone should go call her here. We won't do anything until she gets here." She said. Some moments later, the maid came back, "She isn't there either. I have searched everywhere for hhimbut I couldn't find her." She said. Elena was alarmed, "Where could she have gone?" She panicked. The guards were alerted, and they began to look for her everywhere, but none of their search was fruitless. Elena was worried and scared, "Oberon is not going to like this. I couldn't even watch over his soon-to-be bride." She held her head and paced forth and back in the room. A guard ran into the room, "Your Majesty, we have searched every nook and cranny of the palace, but we couldn't find her." "You have to search harder! Just look for her anywhere, tomorrow's her wedding, she can't just be reported missing." She yelled in frustration. He nodded and ran out of the room. "Please, Nyx, come back safely, or tomorrow might be my funeral instead of your wedding." She said tiredly.
