Chapter 2: Goodbyes

Words : 1413 Updated : Jul 4th, 2025
Violet's friends were throwing her a party after school, just before she left. Today was her last day. Tonight was the full moon, tonight she'd leave home and start her new life as a princess. She'd make new friends at her house of night school for other night world beings. Violet's last school day was wonderful. Everyone brought her flowers, chocolates, plushies, and cards. She was going to be missed dearly by everyone in her class. Considered to be the school goddess and voted campus beauty, Violet was adored, but it was her heart that would be missed most. Violet was everyone's friend, she did volunteer work for the school, and she sang lead in the school choir. The teachers ordered pizza for the class, and the whole experience was unforgettable, let's say the least. It was about 5 o'clock when her UV-protected limo pulled up. Giving her final goodbyes to her friends, she gets into the car and departs. She didn't know how long it would be before she'd see her friends again. "We're stopping at a hotel along the way to change before you meet the Drakary's." Her Papa said. Violet's heart was hammering at her. Anxiety was washing over her body like a summer rain shower. ''This is happening, none of this is a dream, I am being taken to the vampire princes' manor,'' she said to herself. She hoped it would be wonderful, just like her home life, and that they would love her and treasure her like her friends and family did. Just as she'd been told. She wondered what they would look like. She'd never seen them before. 'Would they think I'm pretty?' she wondered. She imagined what her room would be like and what her new life would be like. Hoping was all she could do. After arriving at the hotel, she showered and changed into an evening gown. She looked beautiful in her long white silk dress. The gown had gems threaded in, giving it a glittery appearance. The silver straps complement her skin. She looked like moonlight illuminating a cherry blossom tree. The dress hugged her curves; it wasn't like she was super curvy, but her body was nice, she had a slender figure with an hourglass figure. Looking in the mirror, she looked like a woman. Her long, beautiful, soft, pink hair was braided down her back. She wore a small, dainty necklace with a star-shaped diamond charm and matching earrings. She was sure to make anyone looking break their necks to see her. All ready, she meets her father in the hotel lobby. And sure enough, everyone stops and stares at this marvel of a woman walking up to her father. She was stunning in the light of the lobby. All eyes watched as she exited the elevator. She is a sight to behold. "My darling, you look good enough to eat," he laughed. Her papa always makes jokes. Even bad ones at the worst of times. Violet felt uncomfortable, and that his joke was in bad taste, but she laughed it off with him. She was about to be in a house full of vampires who would most likely drink her blood. The thought made Violet shiver. They drive off with only an hour left before she says goodbye to her Papa. Will she see him again for Christmas? She realized she didn't even know when the next time she would see her father. Pain ached in the heart at having to say goodbye to her Papa. Pulling up to the manor. ''That's barely a manor, it's practically a palace,'' Violet says quietly to herself. "How about that, my daughter will be living as a princess," her Papa brimming with delight. Walking up the terrace are greeted by the butler who opened the door. Now that it was to be known that it was his family that happened to have a maiden, the first one in centuries, his status would rise, elevating his entire clan. Saying nothing, he leads them into the receiving room. And when they walk i, she sees them for the first time. And oh my gosh h, are they the most beautiful men she's ever seen? Tall and strikingly handsome. Their looks were as deadly as they were. One of them stepped forward. "Hello, my dear, it is a pleasure to finally meet you. We've been waiting a very long time. You are ravishing. I'm Gabriel, the oldest and head of the house, and these are my brothers," Gabriel introduces them one by one. Gabriel had night blue hair, a strong square jaw line, and an intense look in his eyebrows. He was very tall, and he had broad shoulders and large arms that filled his button-down long-sleeved dress shirt. He had this air around him that made him seem arrogant and ruthless. You could feel his impatience increasing, despite his pleasant tone. The second brother was Riley, who had black hair and grey eyes. His face was perfectly symmetrical with a slender but muscular build. You could tell he was a model with how practiced his posing was. His smile felt like it hid a devious, dark side to him. He observed Violet like she was a delectable dessert. He raked his eyes all over her body, noticing her perky breasts and slender curves. The dress complemented her figure nicely, and he thought she would look so much better with the dress on the floor, though. Oliver had messy brown hair and rich amber eyes. His face was beautiful, and with a menacing smile. He was taller than Riley and had a more athletic build. He was amused by Violet's optimistic look and wondered how much fun she'd be to play with. Asher was possibly the most beautiful man she'd ever seen. His aura radiated strength and confidence. He was tall and had hair the color of ice white, which complemented the pale silver of his eyes. His lips were thin, but not too thin. He had a cold and domineering look on his face, his jaw was tightened, and he frowned as he stared at her. Even with such a scowl on his face, he was still the breathtaking man Violet had ever seen. The youngest was Jeremy; he was the shortest, though that was still much taller than Violet, who only stood about 5'3. He was holding a stoic attitude and a different look. He had golden yellow eyes with long, shaggy blonde hair; his face looked young, even younger than Violet's. His face held no smile and was void of all emotion. Introducing themselves was about all the conversation that happened. The Drakaryss had no intention of inviting Violet's father in any further or engaging in conversation with this man they felt to be a social ladder climber and bumbling idiot. They just wanted to get this over with, get the girl, and get him out. Ash especially despised the useless pleasantries that were expected to be given from him. Ash hated the idea of being with her. She was probably just like her father. While some of his brothers were excited, some felt it was simply their duty to try.. Sensing he's overstaying his welcome, Violet's father cried as he said his goodbyes. Her father was feeling heartbroken about leaving his daughter, but excited about what his daughter's new status meant to his clan and how it increased his. His precious little girl was standing grown up right before his eyes. His little angel was to be Queen. Even if another Maiden were to be born, Violet would still be the one to wear the crown. "Violet, just be yourself, they are bound to love you as much as we do." He whispered before kissing his daughter's forehead, "I love you to the moon and back, abackmy dar," closing the door behind him. She turns around and sees those five beautiful brothers. And losing her breath, it suddenly hit her like a pile of bricks. She was alone. In a house full of Vampi, any one of these five brothers could end up being her husband. All she had to do was get pregnant with one of their babies. But until she was with child. She belonged to them.
