As the system dealt with the contract, she didn't know who the previous owner was and what the farm looked like. So, having Mr. Thomas show her around and explain to her what was happening made her feel appreciative of the man.
Mr. Thomas was really on the run. He left after an hour, and she could tell that whatever he wanted to do was urgent.
The farm was very simple, and it was 40 hectares. There was a four-roomed house, a ranch, and a farming area.
The ranch had four cattle in total, three cows and one bull. There were also ten goats and eight sheep.
There was the poultry area, but there weren't any chickens available, just the chicken coop and chicken run.
The ranch also had a pigsty, but there were no available pigs.
And lastly, there was a huge piece of arable land suitable for horticulture, and the land had been tilled before.
What she found fascinating was the fact that there were tractors, harvesters, and other machines used when farming.
That was probably why the farm was expensive to purchase,se and she was grateful that she didn't spend any money on it.
There was only one employee at the farm in charge of everything.
And that employee lived in one of the rooms in the house, which wasn't a big deal.
Diamond talked to this employee, who happened to be a foreigner from a neighboring country X, and was called Cain.
Cain was very fluent in the Atharian language, so it was easy for her to talk to the man.
The two discussed the general plan of the firm, and with Cain being experienced, she was enlightened a lot.
Diamond left the farm after three hours with a satisfied smile on her face. The farm needed money, which she currently didn't have, for her to do everything that she wanted.
And she didn't mind starting a project to get some cash in the short term.
Diamond stopped at a restaurant on her way back to buy some food, as she wasn't in the mood to cook anything. While eating, the system appeared again, and she received another bountiful reward.
Moments later, she was driving back home and, in her hand, she was holding another bank card with A$100,000 that he had just received for the day.
This money came when it was needed the most. She couldn't help but feel gratified towards the system, genuinely.
She didn't know how it came to be or where it came from. However, she was just grateful that she was chosen and was now benefiting from it all.
Diamond didn't research on farms that night, but continued with the charity research, as one should not lose focus on the main goal.
The next day, she went to the Orkney Charity Organization (OCO) branch for the second time, and this time it was for registration. She went to see the kind lady who helped her last time and spent over an hour inside the office handling documents and going through the procedures.
"It will take four to seven working days for everything to be sorted out, but don't worry, I will do my best to make sure that your license and registration documents come out as early as possible."
Diamond truly felt grateful, especially after what the lady had done for her so far, "I don't know what to say. I am very grateful for what you have done for me so far. I will not forget about you in the future."
The lady flashed a smile at Diamon., There weren't many girls out there who were so concerned about others. And to see such a young person willing to start a charity organization and help others, she was willing to do anything to help her and see this dream being realized.
There was also another reason why she decided to help Diamond, there was a time when she saw Diamond at a certain welfare Centre, and the other was running around helping.
Seeing such a caring young girl, the lady couldn't forget her. So when she saw Diamond, she was determined to help the other and see where this would lead.
She just hoped that greed wouldn't blind Diamond and start acting like those old foxes who only see profits in their eyes and nothing else.
Diamond left the office after exchanging some pleasantries and headed for a company called Sunshine, which sold chicks and eggs. She was planning on doing one thing at a time, and the poultry business was profitable as long as you found the right market.
Diamond managed to get a quotation and left once more. Her next destination was the Ministry of Agriculture, where she was planning on getting some licenses for buying and selling agricultural produce.
All she needed to do was pay A$10 for the license;e, the other thing remaining was to get another license from the council about the farm, since the farm had a license in Mr. Thomas's name.
She managed to finish everything in one day and returned home after a busy day.
On that day, she received another reward, but it wasn't something special, just a low-tier reward, a six-pack of spring water. She didn't know whether to laugh or cry, but soon she received her answer and stored the water somewhere safe.
The water was simply too delicious and nice to drink that she felt like drinking more, but when she thought of how difficult it may be to get more of it again, she decided to treasure it.
After sorting out the charity organization issue, she was left with hiring a housekeeper, and that day was the day for holding interviews.
The interview was held at the employment agency where Diamond scrutinized and observed the three candidates thoroughly. After roasting them for a while, she finally decided to hire a lady in her early forties with one child who was currently in university.
At least there won't be many issues with her. She was a single parent, and her child stayed at school. The woman had a house already, so the issue of housing wasn't a problem.
A person with a young child would be very difficult to hire, as children can be helpful sometimes.
The housekeeper she hired was called Janet, and she would be joining her the next day and moving in. Janet happened to own a car too, so the issue of transport was automatically solved.
Of course, in the future, she was going to buy a car for the servant, but for now, she was going to make do with what was available.
There was so much to do, but the time was a bit tight. But for a brighter future, she was willing to suffer for a while and enjoy the benefits later.
