"From now on, you belong to me, body, spirit, and soul."
His voice rang in my head, coupled with echoes, as he slapped m,e and the door of the small basement room closed on me.
What exactly did I do wrong to deserve this kind of treatment? I had tried to go out to eat something, and he found out and pounced on me.
I made a last attempt to cry for help as I rushed to the door and banged loudly, hoping someone would hear me and come rescue me, but then I thought he was the Alpha, if he locked me up, no one dared
to save me.
I suddenly felt cold at the realization that I am now a prisoner and no one would come to rescue me, just like always.
A tear dropped as my cheeks pressed to the wall, his right palm remained on my head to keep me there.
"Cut it out, don't play that pathetic little game with me and get your fat ass out of here!"
His voice thundered as he pushed away from me. I scrambled out of the room before he could change his mind.
This is my life now.
Times like this, I try to imagine why my parents did not give it much thought when they gave me out to him. I want to understand that times were hard, and they needed all the help that they could get, but
Mikey's reputation preceded him. No one should ever have to be forced to be with a man like him.
I cried as I walked through the long halls of his mansion. He was one of the richest Alphas of the Southern region and most powerful too. He was rumoured to be two-faced, putting up a good front for the
outside world while he handles his internal affairs strictly.
I ran into someone, but did not bother to look up at them or even stop. I could not let anyone see me like this; chances are that they would put me and still not be able to help me, but the rudest shock of my life was when the person I barged into pulled back my hair with full force, and I yelped as I landed on my butt.
"That serves you right! You deserve everything you are getting here, and next time, stay out of my way."
It was the one other voice I dreaded hearing after Mikey's, yet the fact that I know she is a common pack whore makes me feel no better about the situation because I knew what was coming, and even the
Knowledge is not enough to prepare me for what is coming.
I watched the scantily dressed girl walk into Mikey's room, and as the doors closed, I watched helplessly as the pain shot through me a few minutes later.
I stood up and walked away slowly. He doesn't even hide the fact that I was not good enough for him, but the one thing that would be constant every time Mariela visits was that he would come for me every night.
If I don't behave, I will defeat the only reason I have to come here in the first place, and he will cut out the supplies to my family.
I cried my eyes out all night as I anticipated his return. I felt every part of the pleasure he was having with Mariela, and I wish I could ask him why he subjects me to this.
"Wake up, slave! The Alpha had sent for you." It was Mariela, and that was one way of making me feel less of a person, calling me a lave.
Before I could get up, she barged into my small basement room and pulled me out by the hair. Mikey was standing right outside the door, dressed in a black tuxedo, and that was when I noticed that Mariela was also wearing a dinner gown. So they were going out together when he had a wife.
"Why are you doing this to me? Why keep me here when you don't need a wife?"
He laughed mirthlessly, "You think yourself a wife? Come on, that is just an excuse to have you here as my personal space, and you have no right to question how I treat you. How many times do I have to
remind you of that?"
"Do they know?"
"Excuse me?"
His laughter stopped.
"My parents, I know they sold me, but do they know you brought me here to treat me like this?"
"Your parents were more than happy to have me take you out of their hands, and I am pretty sure they expect all of this. If you are going to blame someone for your situation right now, it's the one." youu
should blame and one more thing, don't think of yourself as a wife here."
A tear rolled down my cheek as I watched them turn their backs on me and begin to walk out of the hall. They stopped at the door.
"I expect obedience and nothing more, and maybe you may just have a little bit of peace while you are here."
That said, they began to walk out, but something tingled in my brain as I grabbed the walls on my left side to steady myself as I began to lose balance.
What is happening to me?
Before I could even process anything, I began to fall and barely even realized anything happening around me. The next time I was awake, I was still on the floor where I had fallen.
I was pretty sure they saw what happened to me, yet he had ignored me. My eyes burned with hot tears as I got up and slowly began to walk to my room.
There was a knock on my door soon, and when I gave no response, I heard a loud crash, and as his form filled the entrance, I knew this was going to be a long midnight, and maybe it was time I started
getting used to what my life would he frim now on.
"Do you know how long I have been knocking on that door?'
"I did not hear you there."
He marched towards me and pulled my hair, forcing my chin up as he looked down at me. What is it with these people and pulling my hair?
"Don't take that tone with me if you..."
"If I what?"
I had no idea where that came from, and I regretted it immediately because the next moment, he was ripping open my clothes and forcing himself on me.
I held my cries in because I knew no one knew was coming to save me, but it was over faster than usual.
I coughed out a handful of blood as soon as he got up from the bed. He gave me a confused look but did not sit on anything.
Instead, he walked away.
He walked away without asking what was wrong.
The next morning, I was woken by the sound of footsteps in my room. It was a doctor followed by Mikey.
"What is wrong with her?" he asked after the doctor had done some examinations.
"She may need extra care right now, Aloha. She has the devil's blood."
What the hell is the devil's blood, and why is this old crook saying I have it?
Mikey narrowed his eyes at me as if I were guilty of anything. I watched as he spoke with the man, but I was only interested in what the devil's blood meant. They wouldn't say it, and after a while, the doctor left.
"You have finally done it. You think I will let you remain here after you have become like this? From now on, let it be known that you are no longer a part of my family."
