Words : 889 Updated : Aug 21st, 2025
The realization that she was wolfless hit her so hard. All her life, she wanted to be like everyone else, hoping to fit in and maybe find a mate to settle down with. But all those dreams were crushed when her wolf did not appear. Lily wondered what could be wrong with her. Lying in that bed, she tried to find better things to strive for, but her mind kept returning to the one failure she couldn't escape. A nurse came in to check on her wounds and change her bandages. The look of indifference was all over her face as she worked on Lily, which didn't help her current mental state. The nurse left, and in walked Alisa and the queue, looking too happy that she was trapped in a bed. "Well, well, don't you look cozy? Been getting enough beauty rest?" Alisa taunts, knowing Lily could do nothing about it. "You always were a lazy lump of a girl who has no talent to speak of. Whereas my princess here will be married to a prince of the Dragon Clan." Lily already felt sorry for the prince who was stuck with this psycho princess who would more than likely ruin their Clan. "Good for you, princess. Hopefully, you won't mess up any important meetings." Alisa stormed up to her, er slapping her across the face. "How dare you?!" Lily kept her face turned the way it was, slapping, ped knowing any more interaction with these two would result in another beating. The queen noticed something different about Lily, as if she were less than before. Moving up closer to her, she leaned in, taking a whiff of her scent. "What's this? You smell different from before. I demand you tell me!" Lily tried to resist the order, but her jaw hurt from the effort. "I I I..... haavveee..... no ....wolf." The queen had a sinister look on her face, hearing this. Alissquealed in delight, clapping her hands. "Oh my Goddess! Now you're even more of a freak than before. Well, now that just means you can't leave. A beastless person has no way to defend themselves, and now you have become one of them. Ha! What a day!" Lily had to fight the tears in her eyes, hearing them talk like this to her. The queen knew just what to do her knowing she needed to speak with the king. "We have big plans for you now, my dear. We will make good use of your brain so it can slave away for our Clan until your last breath." "It will be a cold day in hell before I let you rule my life again. Get out! The last thing I need is two airhead women plotting my future. You still to this day have no clue what I am capable of. Leave!" Lily shouted at them, wanting some peace. The queen reached out and slapped her again, harder than her daughter, causing a ringing in Lily's head. "You will do as I say and be happy you have a home! No one will take you now that we know you are wolfless. Accept your fat, and it's better than the alternative." The queen was smug, knowing there was nothing this woman could do. Lily's head was still spinning as they moved to leave. "Get better soon. There is a lot of work to be done." The queen reminded her as they pair left the room. *Over my dead body am I staying here another second.* Lily had an ace in the hole when she received a letter a few days ago telling her that she had been accepted to the Dragon Academy. They admit the most intelligent minds in all the Clans to their academy, who come out as asters in their fields of study. There was no way Lily was accepting her fate lying down. Once she was healed, she would gather her work and say goodbye to this place forever. Alisa wanted to make that little b*tch pay for her thought of the perfect idea to crush her. Moving through the palace to the part she had never been to, and found Lily's room. Going i, she could see all the work that had been put into making it livable. Seeing all her plants next to the windows, an evil smile graces her face. *Oh, this is tooo easy. I will make you suffer for the way you talked to me. Bye-bye plants.* Alisa started pulling up all the plants one by one, tossing them everywhere. She picked up a couple of pots, throwing them through the wind, shattering the glass. Moving to Lily's work desk, she gathered up all the papers there, dropping them on the floor or looking for matches to light them up. Finding them in Lily's desk drawer, where she lit them, dropping them on Lily's work, glad that it would knock that woman down. "Should have kept quiet and in the shadow,s wolfless woman. Now you will have nothing and be nothing. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!" Alisa laughed, walking out of the room, watching everything burn to the ground before she left the room, satisfied with her work.
