At that moment, the unconscious Chandler suddenly spat out a mouthful of blood.
Nick and the others instantly panicked.
Silas said, "Wayne, since you claim you want to compete with me, why don't you treat Chandler first? Let's see how skilled you really are!"
Carter scoffed, "Damn you, brat! How dare you address Dr. Casson by his name!"
"I bet you're afraid of failing to treat Chandler and getting exposed, so you're pushing Dr. Casson to treat him first!"
"If you're so capable, why don't you go first?"
Wayne, however, waved his hand dismissively and said, "Carter, now's not the time for petty squabbles. Saving a life is the priority."
"If Chandler doesn't receive timely treatment, he may never wake up again."
With that, Wayne took out silver needles and began to perform acupuncture on Chandler.
Silas couldn't help but glance at Wayne with a newfound respect, thinking that despite his arrogance, he truly had a healer's heart.
Wayne held his breath as he carefully inserted needles into several key acupoints on Chandler's body.
Although Chandler hadn't regained consciousness, his complexion improved noticeably, and his breathing became steady.
Wayne finally put away his needles and exhaled deeply.
Carter, looking displeased, turned to Silas and said, "Boy, you've seen the divine healer's skill. Understand now what it means to be in awe? You should apologize to Dr. Casson immediately!"
Silas nodded and said, "Not bad, he's quite competent."
Carter was about to explode in anger, ready to scold Silas, but Wayne gestured for him to stop. Reluctantly, Carter held his tongue, though he shot Silas a glare.
The worried Nick asked, "Dr. Casson, why hasn't my father woken up yet?"
Wayne replied with a hint of regret, "I've only managed to stabilize his condition. To wake him, we might have to amputate both his arms."
Hearing this, Rhea, overcome with anxiety, pleaded, "Dr. Casson, isn't there any other way to save my grandfather's arms?"
This was her most beloved grandfather, and losing his arms would be a devastating blow to the proud man.
Wayne gently shook his head and said, "If I had mastered all of Ninos Needles, Chandler could keep his arms intact."
"Unfortunately, I've only mastered six needles... It's truly a shame."
Carter quickly chimed in, "Dr. Casson, in all of Drakon, you are the one who knows the most about Ninos Needles."
"Anyone else would find saving Chandler's life far more challenging than just amputating his arms."
Silas said then, "Wayne, even if you mastered the remaining three needles, Ninos Needles wouldn't cure him."
Carter pointed at Silas, exclaiming, "You impudent fool! Not only do you doubt the divine healer, but you also question Ninos Needles?!"
"Do you even know that the great Benji created Ninos Needles and is one of Drakon's top ten Divine Needle Techniques?"
Silas was momentarily surprised. "Is Ninos Needles really considered one of the top ten Divine Needle Techniques in Drakon?"
Indeed, Benji left behind Ninos Needles! However, while powerful, Ninos Needles was merely the foundation of Benji Divine Needles!
Benji Divine Needles was exceptionally difficult to learn. Hence, Benji created Ninos Needles to make it easier for healers to learn.
Mastering Ninos Needles was a step toward the advanced Benji Divine Needles!
Silas thought that the Benji Divine Needles should be one of the top ten Divine Needle Techniques, not the Ninos Needles!
Clearly, the art of acupuncture had suffered significant gaps over time.
Carter sneered, "You don't even know Ninos Needles is one of the top ten Divine Needle Techniques! You're definitely a fraud! I bet you don't even have a medical license."
Silas nodded. "A medical license? Nope, I don't have one."
Nick couldn't hold back and glared at Rhea before saying, "Security, escort him out..."
But Wayne shook his head. "Hold on."
Wayne then locked his gaze on Silas. "Young man, if you say Ninos Needles can't cure, then what can?"
"And do you even understand Ninos Needles?" Wayne spoke with full confidence.
With his mastery of the first six needles, he was already one of the Four Divine Healers of Eastville!
Silas replied, "It's just Ninos Needles. It's not that hard!"
"Although Ninos Needles can't cure Mr. Smut Sr.'s condition, it can open up his meridians, and with other techniques, the results will be better. Let me show you."
With that, Silas approached Chandler, silver needles already in hand.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Silas began the acupuncture.
At that moment, he manipulated the needles, sometimes moving with lightning speed, and at other times, like flowing water, a perfect blend of fast and slow, dynamic and still, as if playing a magnificent symphony filled with an air of perfection.
"Stop! Are you trying to kill him?!" Nick stepped forward and shouted.
Feeling anxious, Rhea said, "Silas, can you really treat him?"
After all, it was her grandfather's life at stake, and Rhea was deeply concerned!
The security guards also moved in closer, ready to seize Silas at any moment.
But then, Wayne suddenly commanded, "Everyone, quiet! Do not disturb his treatment!"
What?!
Everyone was stunned!
The divine healer had just instructed them not to interfere with Silas' treatment!
Nick whispered, "Dr. Casson, this boy is just causing trouble. If something goes wrong..."
However, they all noticed that after Wayne's command, he stood there, watching Silas perform acupuncture with a look of awe and curiosity, as if he were witnessing a grand spectacle!
He murmured to himself, "It truly is Ninos Needles! These are the first six needles, executed more perfectly and skillfully than I could!"
"He's truly impressive!"
Wayne's face flushed with excitement.
Just then, his entire body trembled, as if struck by lightning, his eyes wide open.
"This... impossible..."
Everyone couldn't help but turn their attention to Silas.
They saw that Silas's acupuncture technique had changed.
The silver needles emitted a glowing energy, vibrating with a hum!
Each needle seemed connected by an invisible thread, piercing through the air!
With his extensive experience, Carter exclaimed in a trembling voice, "He's using inner energy to control the needles!"
Nick and the others, not being from the medical field, didn't understand what that meant.
However, they could tell that this was undoubtedly an incredibly advanced acupuncture technique!
Several attending doctors present were also left speechless.
