"I... I don't know."
"I can't say... Ahhh!"
Overwhelmed by terror and the agonizing pain from the Nine Devil Needles, Marcus let out a blood-curdling scream.
But he couldn't say a word.
If he talked, it wouldn't just cost him his life. It would doom the entire Everett family.
Not even the Hayward family could save them.
"In that case, you can die slowly in pain!" Allan's eyes were icy.
"Ahhh!!!"
Soon, amid the screams, Marcus chose to end his life.
He clawed at his own throat, brutally ending his agony.
Even martial artists couldn't withstand the Nine Devil Needles.
Marcus couldn't risk revealing the truth, but the pain was too much to bear. In the end, he chose death.
"Dad!" Griffin shouted.
"You demon, you bastard, I'll fight you to the death!"
Griffin charged at Allan.
Bang!
Allan stomped down on Griffin's shoulder with a sickening crack, shattering it and leaving him writhing in agony on the floor.
In the next moment, Allan stomped hard on Griffin's neck.
Crack!
Griffin's neck snapped, his head flopping at a gruesome angle, twisted into a horrifying shape.
Blood spurted from his torn artery, spraying like a fountain and soaking the floor in red.
"Honey! No!" Abby's eyes went wide, her voice rising to a shrill scream.
"Were you the one who ordered the Everetts to pour acid on Daniella's face?" Allan turned his icy gaze on the trembling Abby.
"What... what do you want?"
"Don't come any closer!"
"I'm the daughter of the Hayward family. If you kill me, my father won't let you off!"
With her bodyguard Matthew Spears dead, and having just witnessed the Everetts' agonizing deaths, the horror haunted Abby like a nightmare.
Abby screamed in panic, trying to flee.
Today's wedding was just a small event in Junbert.
The plan was for Abby and Griffin to go to Solvenzia afterward for a much grander celebration, so the Hayward family elders hadn't attended the wedding in Junbert.
"Did you think about this day when you threw acid on Daniella's face?"
"I'll wipe out the Hayward family!"
Allan was unfazed. He stepped up to Abby and, with a quick yank, snapped her arm with a loud crack.
Blood ran down her shattered arm, staining her sparkling bracelet and her once-pristine, expensive white wedding dress a deep red.
"Spare me, I'll do anything if you let me live. I'm good in bed, I swear! Just let me live..." Abby screamed in agony as the pain washed over her like a tidal wave, leaving her limp on the ground.
The once-proud Hayward heiress now groveled on the floor, begging and spewing filth.
She even ripped open her dress, showing off her cleavage.
"Come on, Griffin hasn't touched me yet. I'm willing to offer myself in exchange for my life, please..."
Abby tried to flaunt what she had, hoping to seduce Allan.
The onlookers wore strange expressions, but they understood. With death staring you in the face, who could stay calm?
"You think I'd sleep with you?"
Allan glanced coldly at Abby's trembling, half-exposed body.
"Sorry, but I don't touch just anyone."
Abby's face turned ashen at his words.
"Does it hurt?" Allan asked coolly.
"It hurts a lot!"
Abby tried to put on a pitiful expression, sweat dripping from her forehead.
"Good, it should hurt!" Allan showed no sympathy.
Daniella's face bore ghastly scars. She must be painful.
Over the past five years, Daniella suffered more humiliation and abuse.
As the sister of a heroic martyr, was such treatment fitting?
"Please, I was wrong. I shouldn't have hurt Ms. Shaw. I went too far. I'm willing to apologize, to do anything..."
Abby's body trembled, her once proud chest now splattered with blood.
"If an apology could fix everything, who'd need justice?"
"Save it. Apologies mean nothing. Your death is all that matters."
Allan's voice was chillingly calm, as if discussing a mundane matter, yet it made Abby tremble.
"However, I won't kill you outright. That would be too easy for you. The torment and suffering Daniella endured over five years, you will experience it too."
"I'm going to cut your tendons, nick your artery, and let you die slowly."
Allan looked down at Abby.
"No! Please, no!" Abby screamed.
With a flick of his fingers, several energy streaks shot out, piercing Abby's arms, legs, and neck.
Her limbs became immobile, and the sight of blood gushing from her neck was vividly clear.
The sound of her blood flowing was truly unbearable.
Blood gushed from her neck, pooling around her as her body twitched and went still.
The hall reeked of blood, the stench so thick it made people gag.
The guests stood frozen in terror, too scared to run, their knees shaking uncontrollably.
The remaining Everett family members were paralyzed with fear.
"In one hour, I'll be coming to the Everett residence. If you don't tell me who was behind the attack on the Shaw family, get ready to be wiped out!" Allan shot everyone a cold look, then took Daniella by the wrist and left Heaven Hotel.
It wasn't until Allan was long gone that anyone dared to breathe.
"Shit, I thought I was gonna die! My heart's never beat so fast in my life!"
"Who the hell is this guy? How does Daniella know someone like that?"
"The Everett family messed up this time. Once word gets out, Junbert and Solvenzia will be in chaos."
...
"Allan, where are we going now?" Daniella looked at Allan with admiration.
For the first time in five years, she felt protected. A profound sense of safety enveloped her.
"To Holy Pharmaceutical." Allan ruffled Daniella's hair with a smile.
Holy Pharmaceutical was the biggest pharmacy chain in Dristopia, stocked with everything Allan needed to treat Daniella.
"Okay!" Daniella nodded sweetly.
...
At the Everett family wedding, Marcus and Griffin were dead, Abby lay lifeless, while Franklin and Tyron were killed on the spot.
This news instantly set Junbert on fire.
"Damn, this guy's fierce!"
"Junbert is about to change drastically!"
"He's threatening to visit the Everetts in an hour. It'll be a bloodbath!"
"Hmph, Mr. Anthony is no pushover. Let's wait and see. He's bound to unleash his wrath!"
All over Junbert, every major family and organization heard about the massacre at the Heaven Hotel. Panic set in fast.
Simultaneously, at the Everett mansion, the family members laid the bodies of Marcus and Abby in the main hall.
Griffin had been blown to pieces. There wasn't even a body to bring home.
The entire Everett family mansion was dead silent.
In the hall, Anthony Everett stared at Marcus's mangled corpse with a dark expression.
"Father, we've mobilized our network for an investigation. The police department also reported that this person's background is mysterious, with no records in their system." Nathan Everett spoke in a low voice, but there was a flicker of relief in his eyes.
Marcus had been the first in line to inherit the family, but now, with Marcus and Griffin gone, Nathan undoubtedly had the inheritance rights.
"So this little punk just came out of nowhere?" Anthony spoke, his voice icy and venomous, murder gleaming in his eyes.
"Daniella is Flynn Shaw's sister. However, those who supported Flynn have mostly been dealt with over the past five years. Flynn was once that person's deputy general." Nathan shook his head.
"I'm afraid there are still many hidden supporters."
"He took out Tyron Hurst, a seventh-degree black belt."
"He killed Matthew Spears, a top yellow-rank martial artist, in one move."
"He even killed Franklin Jauncy with ease."
"Sounds like this guy's at least a peak Black-rank martial artist, maybe even earth-rank level." Anthony squinted, exuding a chilling aura.
"Is he really that strong?" Nathan's eyes trembled.
"This isn't surprising. Junbert is just an ordinary city." Anthony shook his head, maintaining his composure.
"He killed your brother, your nephew, and even Abby. We will be in deep trouble once the Hayward family hears about this!"
"Our priority now is to capture this bastard!"
"Mobilize everyone we've got. I want to know everything about this guy, no matter the cost!"
"Get in touch with Mr. Casson. The Everett family has deep roots in Junbert. We're not just going to sit here and wait to die!"
"Father, you plan to meet Mr. Casson?" Nathan's spirits lifted at the suggestion.
"He's the top dog in this city."
"Indeed, though I've retired, I still have some influence in political and business circles. Mr. Casson once received our family's support and owes us a favor," Anthony ordered the driver to get the car ready and headed off to the mayor's office.
