(Johnnie) "Dude, when the hell did Turner get so hot?" I heard Milo say behind me as we made our way to the gate. I swear if Alder wasn't holding onto me I would've fallen flat on my face. Milo thinks I'm hot? Did he really just say that? What the hell is happening right now?! "Maybe your standards have just gone down." Caspian scoffed, making me bite my lip nervously. of course he would say that. "Here, let's sit here and I will get us a coffee." Alder said happily before setting his stuff down in a row of empty seats. My mom and Dave went to the lounge and decided to get a drink while Ben and Robin plopped into the seat beside me. "Baby, can you get me a coffee too?" Robin pouted before sliding her hand up Ben's arm seductively. "Sure babe, you want your usual?" Ben asked cooly, making Robin nod her head yes before brushing her hair back behind her shoulder. Okay. I will give it to her. she knows how to look seductive and enticing. and she somehow managed to make Ben forget all about the hiding stuff from him thing. he was as happy as could be this morning and back to his usual self around her. Ben quickly stood and ran towards Alder, trying to catch up with him. I peered over at Robin, seeing a smile pull at her lips before she glanced down at her phone and began typing away. "Hey Johnnie, how have you been doing? I feel like I haven't seen you in forever." Milo suddenly asked while plopping into the seat beside me, causing me to jump. I looked up, meeting his brown gaze as a big smile pulled at his lips, making me stare at his smug handsome face. Yes. he was gorgeous too. that's what made it all worse. Not only was he an ass, but he was also gifted with ridiculously good looks. Milo had chocolate brown skin with short brown hair…Remember when I said Caspian could be a model? Well. Milo actually was one. He models for a company that sells sportswear, so of course his body was a ten as well. Too bad his personality is a two at best. "I'm good. " I squeaked, unsure of what to even say. Milo and I never really talked much. all we had in common before was our friendship with Caspian. now we don't even have that. "How are classes going? You're a music major right?" He asked, making me furrow my brow as I shook my head no. why did he think that? "I am an English major actually." I stated while looking down at my hands awkwardly. "Oh, I thought that's what you wanted to do in high school, considering you played piano." He explained, making my eyes dart up as I met his gaze. "You remember that?" I asked, completely shocked that he would know anything about me. "Yeah of course, Caspian used to brag to everyone that you would be a famous musician one day." He laughed, his words making my heart race as I couldn't believe Caspian really said that. That was my dream. and then Dad died. after that, I developed stage fright and once the bullying began, I ended that dream. I still never play in front of anyone else. not even Ben. "I always wanted to hear you play. maybe you can play something for me one day." Milo suddenly stated, his smile making something strange happen to me causing my stomach to actually flip. "Yeah. maybe. I mean. if you like." I sputtered. not even sure what I was saying. I doubt I would ever play for him. that would be weird, right? Suddenly Milo lifted his hand before reaching towards me and brushing a blonde strand of hair behind my ear…our gazes connected as I felt my heart leap into my throat. No one had ever looked at me like this before. "Milo." Caspian suddenly snapped, making me pull back as I made the stupid decision to peer over at him. His eyes were burning into me and I swear if looks could kill, I would be a goner. "Get up." He snapped, but now his gaze was directed towards Milo, making him let out a chuckle. "Wow, King. I didn't expect you to be the overprotective brother type so soon." Milo teased, making Caspian even more pissed. this won't be good. "And I didn't expect you to be so desperate to hit on someone like Johnnie. That breakup with Ashley must've really f****d you up." He scoffed, making my stomach drop as I felt my cheeks warming. "What's so wrong with Milo hitting on Johnnie?" Robin suddenly chimed in, making me look over at her in confusion. What was she trying to gain from this? "The fact that I don't want my best friend being seen with trash should be a good enough reason. Johnnie is a waste of space, and the fact that she is even on this trip ruins it not only for me but everyone else. You said it yourself before didn't you Robin? You couldn't believe Ben and her were related. something about her being a fat cow. " Caspian spat, his words opening those old wounds he always caused. "Dude. what the f**k?" Milo began and I quickly stood before excusing myself and headed for the bathroom. the place I always seem to go after running into Caspian. Why does he hate me so much? I rushed into one of the stalls, the tears temporarily blinding my vision as I tried to take deep breaths in and out. Maybe I am just a waste of space. someone who doesn't belong here. why did I think I would be able to do this? I didn't even last an hour before Caspian broke me down. "Johnnie?" Robin's voice suddenly echoed through the large bathroom, making my stomach tie into knots as I quickly swiped away those treacherous tears. "Yeah?" I called out, trying to keep my voice steady as I heard footsteps approaching me. "Can I come in?" She suddenly asked, making me furrow my brow as I froze for a moment, not sure what to do. This was new. "Umm. okay." I blurted before opening the stall and stepping back. Robin quickly slid in and locked the door, making me look down at the ground awkwardly. Robin was a few inches taller than me but at this moment. I felt like a speck in comparison. "What was that about? Why did you let him talk to you like that?" She suddenly blurted Her words made me blink rapidly before glancing up at her. "What do you mean?" I asked, prompting her to let out a long sigh. "I know what I said was shitty. but to be honest. when I first met you I was surprised you were related to Ben. not because of what he said. but because you were so shut off and quiet. " She explained. making me nod as I could see what she meant. Ben was the life of the party. and well me. I was nothing. just like Caspian always said. "But what Caspian said was not cool, like really. he is such a prick. Does he talk to you like that a lot?" She suddenly asked, making me shrug. I didn't know if I could trust Robin fully. this really was the first time she was being somewhat nice to me. "Come on, stick with me okay? I won't let him get away with that s**t. I know Ben and your mom really want you here. I guess me too." She added with a playful smile before bumping her hip into mine and making me laugh. I was surprised Caspian treated me that way in front of other people to be honest. usually it's only in private. so to see that someone else thought it was shitty kind of made me feel better. "Thanks Robin." I whispered, feeling like I was seeing a side of her that I never knew existed. "Of course, now let's go out there and give Caspian some side eye while we whisper judgmental things about him a little too loudly. It wouldn't hurt to knock him down a few pegs." She smiled brightly before reaching up and fixing my hair. "By the way, Milo was right, you do look hot. so f*****g own it okay?" She stated before smiling at me and turning to walk out of the bathroom. I was left speechless as I followed beside her, trying to take her words and use them as we headed back toward our gate. I watched as multiple guys looked our way, smiling and turning their heads towards us as they checked Robin out…well. I thought it was just Robin until some guy walked straight up to us. "Excuse me, I don't do this very often. but I was wondering if you had time before your flight to grab a drink?" An older guy asked me, he looked to be Ben's age and I just stood there in shock. "Sorry, but she is not only underage but also has a boyfriend." Robin said rudely before yanking me along as I gave the guy an apologetic look. "Maybe next time the asshat should take off his wedding ring before hitting on a girl." She scoffed and I hadn't even noticed. I was too busy being shocked that he was talking to me and not Robin to realize I guess. "Oh, there's Ben and Alder with our coffee. come on." She said with another sultry smile and you know what. I can see it. if this is the side of Robin that Ben always gets. then no wonder he is head over heels for the girl. This version of Robin is actually kind of awesome…
