"Evan, I can't wait for you to come back and drink with me anymore. In the next life, let's be brothers again!"
Standing in front of a tombstone bearing the name Zayne Bell, a man in black armor and a red cape stood there, holding his phone to his ear and listening to the message over and over.
"Commander Evan, my condolences. It's getting late-let's head back," a woman softly reminded him from behind.

Evan Gates put away his phone and slowly looked up at the cloudy sky. "This was a message he sent me three years ago. I was on a mission at the time and didn't hear it. By the time I heard it, he'd already jumped to his death."
Evan seemed to be talking to the woman, but he was also lost in his memories.
"You two must've been really close, huh?" the woman asked with a sigh.
"We were in the same class in middle school and high school. He came from a powerful family, but he never looked down on me-he always treated me like a brother. Whenever I was in trouble, he'd help me out. After high school, I joined the army. I never thought he wouldn't wait for me to come back, but in the end, he was forced to jump from a 300-meter building. Now we're separated forever."
As Evan murmured, his thin body trembled, and his fists clenched so tightly they turned white. "I'll make them pay for what they did to him."
After a while, Evan pulled himself together, his voice going cold. "How's that thing I asked you to look into coming along?"
Rose clasped her fists and gave a slight bow. "Tonight, Alberto Morgan and Tiana Collins are getting married at the Phoenix Hotel."
"Get a gift ready. Let's go crash their wedding and have a drink," Evan said, a hint of a bloodthirsty smile on his lips.
Rose shivered slightly, sensing the intense murderous intent in Evan's words. She knew that tonight, the Phoenix Hotel would run red with blood.
Both the Bell family and the Collins family were powerful old families in Chiville, with deep roots and a lot of influence. Tiana Collins had been Zayne Bell's girlfriend three years ago, and Alberto Morgan had been his friend. No one expected they'd plot against Zayne, teaming up with other big families to take down the Bell family bit by bit, until finally forcing Zayne to jump from the Imperial Tower.
What they didn't know was that Zayne's best friend, Evan Gates, had spent the past few years in the military, racking up honors-and now he was back, burning for revenge.
Outside the Phoenix Hotel, luxury cars filled the parking lot. Today marked the big wedding of Alberto Morgan, the future heir of the Morgan family, and Tiana Collins, the talented daughter of the Collins family. Many dignitaries from Chiville were invited to celebrate.
The entire Phoenix Hotel had been booked for the occasion. In the grand hall, the emcee was going on and on with the wedding script, while the guests all smiled and laughed, making the place feel like a scene out of a perfect world.
But just as the groom and bride were about to exchange rings, a bloodied security guard burst into the hall, panic all over his face.
"Something's wrong! Outside, there's a man holding a coffin with one hand, barging in!"
"What's going on?" The guests, startled by the guard's appearance, were taken aback.
A few of the Morgan family's bodyguards rushed up to shield their family members.
"What did you just say?" Alberto Morgan's face darkened.
"Just now, a man and a woman said they came to congratulate you. The man was holding a coffin with one hand, so of course we didn't dare let them in. But the woman was some kind of martial arts master-she took out all our security guards in no time!" the guard shouted.
"Who has the guts to pull something like this? Bringing a coffin to my wedding-clearly, they're here to stir up trouble!" an elder of the Morgan family erupted in fury, slamming the table.
"No matter who you are, if you dare to disrupt my wedding, I'll make you regret ever being born," Alberto Morgan's face twisted with violent intent. "Go get that arrogant bastard and drag him in here!"
"Yes, sir!"
The bodyguards were about to charge out when a melodic voice swiftly echoed through the wedding hall from outside.
"Nobody special, Evan Gates. I heard about Mr. Morgan and Ms. Collins' big wedding, so I brought a coffin as my gift!"
"Who is Evan Gates? I've never heard of him in Chiville!"
"Doesn't he know the power and influence of the Morgan and Collins families in Chiville? How dare he crash the wedding?"
The guests exchanged shocked glances. Then everyone saw a man in black, holding a coffin in his right hand, step over the threshold and walk in calmly. He had a slight smile on his face, and even though he was carrying a coffin with one hand, he moved so lightly it was like he was floating-everyone in the hall was stunned.
Rose followed right behind him, her face expressionless and icy-cold.
Bang!
Evan let go, and the coffin slammed down on the red carpet with a thud, making the floor shake.
"Mr. Morgan, Ms. Collins, what do you think of my wedding gift?" Evan asked with a serene smile, standing with his hands behind his back.
Looking at the ominous black coffin, the guests' faces turned pale, and they retreated in fear. A coffin is a seriously bad omen-something for the dead-and it's the last thing these rich folks want to see. Yet Evan had brought it as a wedding gift to the big wedding of the Morgan and Collins families. What kind of hatred would drive someone to do something like that?
The bride, Tiana Collins, turned ashen with fear, nearly collapsing as she screamed in terror, "What are you trying to do?"
"Who are you? Do you know this is the wedding of the Morgan and Collins families?" Idris Morgan, the Morgan family head, stepped forward, pointing at Evan in rage. "You've got some nerve, bringing a coffin here to make trouble!"
Evan sighed slightly. "Looks like you two don't really like my gift. But I already brought it all the way here, and it's custom-made for you-so why not try it out and see if it fits?"
Try it out and see if it fits?
This guy must be crazy, daring to say something like that to Alberto Morgan and Tiana Collins. Isn't he cursing them to die?
To have a coffin sent at their wedding and to be cursed to die-Alberto Morgan and Tiana Collins must be furious, right?
Sure enough, when the crowd looked at Alberto Morgan, his features were contorted with rage.
Idris Morgan's face turned livid with anger. "Outrageous! Boy, are you seeking death?"
"I don't even know you, and yet you show up to wreck my wedding? If you don't give me a good reason tonight, I swear I'll have you ripped apart and shoved into that coffin!" Alberto Morgan growled, each word dripping with menace.
"You might not know me, Mr. Morgan, but you knew my late brother," Evan replied.
"And who was your late brother?" Alberto Morgan asked reflexively.
"My late brother-Zayne Bell!"
